(Minghui.org) After I sent out my indictment against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), yesterday, I felt that I was at a new starting point in my cultivation – I became diligent again.
I'd like to share my recent understanding about filing lawsuits against Jiang for his involvement in the persecution of Falun Dafa.
From Master's recent teaching in New York I understand that Master approves of practitioners filing the lawsuits. The Minghui website even created a category in May 2015 that records the details of these lawsuits. It's a matter concerning the process of Fa-rectification and offering salvation to sentient beings.
I don't consider myself to be a particularly good Dafa practitioner, and had never openly stepped out to validate the Fa. I even signed a guarantee statement while being pressured by the authorities not to practice Falun Dafa again. I also was not very confident about the strength of my righteous thoughts.
I believed that suing Jiang was something that good and influential practitioners did, but I didn't include myself in this category. Yet I decided to take this opportunity to look inward, correct my unrighteous thoughts, and coordinate well with others.
The attachment of fear and harboring human notions can hinder Fa-rectification and self-cultivation. It's essentially an issue of believing in Master and the Fa. Every test is aimed at our human notions, to see whether we firmly believe in Master.
Some fellow practitioners were concerned about their safety, since they used their real names to file lawsuits. This doesn't mean however that filing lawsuits against Jiang will automatically put us in danger. Our attachment of fear is what brings us trouble. It's made some of us fall behind in the process of Fa-rectification, fail to break through our attachments to gain a deeper understanding of the Fa, and fail do what Master asks us to do.
Master said:
“As a Dafa disciple, no matter what setting you are in, you should do well, do even better, and quickly eliminate your shortcomings and the things you shouldn’t have.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2014 San Francisco Fa Conference”)
Master won't force anyone to do anything. Our mighty virtue is only earned when we do things out of our true motivation. When Jiang Zemin was in power and launched the persecution against Falun Dafa in 1999, practitioners had the courage to appeal in Beijing. The situation has since improved. So how hard is it to send out an indictment against him? Don't we practitioners need to cultivate like when we first started? It might be hard to remain diligent in a more relaxed environment, but we have to keep in mind that we are cultivating among everyday people, and our goal is to save sentient beings and go beyond this world.
It's a great honor to be chosen to be a part of Fa rectification. We must treasure this critical moment, and never leave regret for ourselves, or for the sentient beings awaiting salvation.
Master has made arrangements for everything. The crackdown on the CCP's corruption has laid the groundwork for our lawsuits. Jiang's crimes have been condemned widely. His days are numbered. We shouldn't wait for everyday people to rectify the wrongs against Dafa. Master has given us this opportunity to build our mighty virtue.

Only 10,000 practitioners out of 100 million went to Beijing in 1999 to appeal for Falun Dafa. It's a pity that many of us missed the opportunity to validate the Fa at that time. We now have another opportunity to be part of the process of Fa-rectification – suing Jiang Zemin for starting the persecution of Falun Dafa.
It's also time for us to eliminate the mentality of fear that has been forced upon us by the persecution, especially for those practitioners who haven't done well in the past.
Master has given us this opportunity to clean our stains and replace them with righteous thoughts and actions. We should treasure this opportunity to completely break through our human mentality.
No matter how much longer we have to travel on our paths of cultivation, our faith in Master and Dafa must not waver. Every step of the process of Fa-rectification requires us to cast away our human notions, as well as the degenerated mentality of the old universe.
