Additional Persecution News from China – August 6, 2015 (31 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 24 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 26 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

Ms. Liu Cuiqin was arrested at home by officers from the Guanli Town Police Station on August 5, 2015.

2. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Huilan Detained

Ms. Li Huilan was arrested at the Chongqing North Railway Station and taken to the Police Station of Caiyuanba Railway Station on July 23, 2015. She is being held at the Qianzhugou Brainwashing Center in Shapingba.

3. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhao Xiuhua and two other practitioners were arrested by officers from the Zibo City 610 Office and the Xingyuanlu Police Station on July 24, 2015, for filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party.

The police confiscated computers, printers, recorders, Falun Gong books, informational materials about the persecution, and other personal items. Ms. Zhao is being held at the Zibo City Detention Center. The two practitioners have been released.

Ms. Liu Xiumei was arrested at her store by officers from the Mizhoulu Police Station on July 15, 2015. She was taken to the police station before being detained at the Zhucheng City Detention Center for seven days.

5. [Chongqing] Ms. Fu Zhongbi Sentenced

Ms. Fu Zhongbi was arrested by officers from the Shuangfengqiao Police Station on August 27, 2014, and held at the Yubei District Detention Center until her trial. She was tried and sentenced to a three-year prison term with four years of probation by the Yubei District Court on July 13, 2015.

Mr. Wen Dayong was arrested by officers from the Wulajie Police Station in the Longtang District on August 4, 2015. He was held in Xiaobaishan Town for 10 days.

7. [Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Xiaoli Arrested

Ms. Liu Xiaoli was arrested on August 5, 2015.

8. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Mr. Cao Bangyang Arrested

Officers from the Beihu District Domestic Security Division, the Criminal Police Division, and the 610 Office arrested Mr. Cao Bangyang on July 27, 2015, and ransacked his home. Mr. Cao was released the next day.

9. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ge Zhengfang Arrested

Ms. Ge Zhengfang, in her 60s, was arrested by officers from the Xingfu Police Station on August 5, 2015, for mailing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin.

Ms. Jin Guiyin was arrested by plainclothes officers on August 5, 2015. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books and other personal items.

11. [Chongqing] Mr. Mao Liangbai Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Mao Liangbai was arrested by director Zhang and officers from the Yubeilu Residential Administration Office in the Shapingba District on August 5, 2015. He was taken to the Qianzhugou Brainwashing Center, and his family was not allowed to bring him any personal belongings or daily necessities.

Mr. Tian Shouping was arrested and taken to the Changli County Detention Center on August 1, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

15. [Huangshan City, Anhui Province] Mr. Xu Jiquan Sentenced

Mr. Xu Jiquan, 69, was arrested on September 1, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution. He was held at the Tunxi Detention Center before he was sentenced to a three-and-a-half years prison term in June 2015.

Mr. Ning You was arrested at home by officers from the Sifeng Police Station on August 4, 2015, for mailing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin. He is detained at the Jiamusi Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Li was sentenced to four years in prison on July 31, 2015. She was taken to Jinan Prison.

Mr. Dong Shouzhu was arrested by officers from the Xugezhuang Police Station on August 4, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was taken to the Fengnan District Detention Center.

Ms. Zhao Suyun was arrested and her home was ransacked on July 9, 2015. She is being held at the Xuzhou City Detention Center.

22. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Yulan’s Whereabouts Unknown

Officers from the Jiangyuan District 610 Office, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and the Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Zhang Yulan on July 27, 2015, and ransacked her home. They confiscated her Falun Gong books. Ms. Zhang’s whereabouts are unknown.

23. [Shehong County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wen Xingtai’s Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Wen Xingtai, 63, was arrested on August 4, 2015. Officers from the Domestic Security Division confiscated three printers, a computer and a recorder. Mr. Wen's whereabouts are unknown.

24. [Dechang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Guiying’s Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Zhang Guiying was arrested by officers from the local police station on August 3, 2015, for distributing informational DVDs about the persecution of Falun Gong in Nantan Village, Dezhou Town. Her whereabouts are unknown.

25. [Ningan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Zhenjin Sentenced

Mr. Li Zhenjin was sentenced to a five-year prison term by the Basic People's Court in Dongjingcheng District on August 4, 2015.

26. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yuan Min and Ms. Gao Xiuying were arrested by officer Liu Tiejun and others at the Linghai Domestic Security Division on August 3, 2015, when they requested the computers that were confiscated be returned. Ms. Yuan and Ms. Gao were later taken to the Jinzhou Detention Center in Liaoning Province.

27. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Jiang Shenglian Arrested

Ms. Jiang Shenglian was arrested at home by officers from the Xifeng District Police Department and the Xiaojin Town Police Station on July 7, 2015. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Xiaojin Police Station but released that day.

28. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Fenglan and Ms. Cheng Wenyi Detained

Ms. Liu Fenglan and Ms. Cheng Wenyi were arrested by officers from the Zhangjiawan Police Station on July 30, 2015. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated all their Falun Gong books. They are being held at the Tongzhou District Detention Center.

Ms. Huang Chunfen was arrested at home by officers from the Hongqi Police Department on August 4, 2015. The police ransacked her home and took her to the Baishan City Detention Center.
