(Minghui.org) “It is absolutely right to practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. This should not be persecuted,” said an elderly Swedish man while encountering the Falun Dafa booth at the Malmo Festival on August 16, 2015.
The Falun Dafa group had set up a booth to tell people about Falun Dafa, as well the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s brutal persecution of practitioners, including live organ harvesting. Many visitors learned signed a petition condemning the atrocity. This elderly man came twice to the Falun Dafa booth and expressed outrage over the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
Malmo is the third largest city in Sweden and located in the southern part of the country, next to Copenhagen, Denmark. The one-week festival is an annual event that started in 1985. Visitors of the festival can enjoy the art, music, culture and food of various countries. With 1.4 million visitor every year, it is the largest city festival in Scandinavia.

Many visitors stopped to learn about Falun Gong and expressed interest in learning the practice during the event. A woman in her 70s tried following along as the practitioners demonstrated the sitting meditation. Unable to sit in the full lotus position, she doubted whether she could learn the practice. The practitioner assured her that anyone can practice the exercises and improve gradually. Relieved, the woman said she would join the next group practice.
Quite a few Chinese tourists who stopped at the booth took a stance against the persecution by renouncing their memberships in the CCP and its affiliated organizations. A Chinese man who goes by the name Henry has lived in Sweden for over 20 years. Hearing that more than 200 million Chinese people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, he said he knew the nature of the CCP and formally declared his resignation from the Communist Youth League.
