Additional Persecution News from China – August 2, 2015 (24 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 26 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gao Wenlan Arrested

Ms. Gao Wenlan was arrested when she was telling people about Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) in the Shihu area of Guosong Town on May 22, 2015. She has been released.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Wen Arrested

Ms. Li Wen was arrested on August 1, 2015.

3. [Tangyuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wan Shuqing and Ms. Wan Shulan Detained

Mr. Wan Shuqing and Ms. Wan Shulan, from the Daying Farm in Tangyuan County, were arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong on July 28, 2015. Currently both practitioners are being held in the Suibin Detention Center.

4. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Zhaosen Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zhang Zhaosen was arrested at home by officers from the Xiangyang City 610 Office on May 15, 2015. He was taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.

5. [Yumen City, Gansu Province] Ms. Fan Xiuling and Mr. Duan Xinghua Detained

Deputy head of the Domestic Security Division and officers from the Jianguolu Police Station in Yumen City arrested Ms. Fan Xiuling and Mr. Duan Xinghua on the afternoon of June 8, 2015.

The officers extorted 1,200 yuan from Ms. Fan and detained her for 15 days. They confiscated a notebook computer and extorted 1,000 yuan from Mr. Duan and detained him for 10 days.

6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Chengshan and Wife Ms. Feng Guoyun Detained

Mr. Liu Chengshan, 74, was released on bail in September 2014. He was officially placed under arrest by the Tianqiao District Court on July 16, 2015. He is being held in the Jinan Detention Center.

Ms. Feng Guoyun, 70, has been held in the Jinan Detention Center since July 31, 2014.

7. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xu Changhong Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xu Changhong, an employee at the Xianning Central Hospital, was arrested and taken to the Banqiao Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City on July 22, 2015.

8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Dongqin Arrested

Ms. Zhang Dongqin, 62, from the Jinshanbao Village, Qunli Township, Daoli District, was arrested recently by provincial police officers for mailing her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin.

9. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Remain in Custody

Mr. Zhang Baolin, Ms. Liu Wenxiu, and Mr. Qiu Binyu were arrested on July 21, 2015. Mr. Zhang and Mr. Qiu were taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center. Ms. Liu remains in custody at the Macheng Detention Center.

10. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Baiyu's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Li Baiyu was arrested in early July 2015. Her whereabouts is unknown.

11. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Chen Guifang and Ms. Li Yinghua Detained

Ms. Chen Guifang and Ms. Li Yinghua went to the Jinchang City Post Office to mail their lawsuits against Jiang Zemin on the afternoon of July 28, 2015. Both practitioners were arrested by officers from the Jinchuanlu Police Station. They are being held in the Jinchang Detention Center.

12. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Chen Yulian Arrested

Wei Jianping, head of the Nanchang County Domestic Security Division, and several other officers showed up at Ms. Chen Yulian's home and arrested her on the morning of July 30, 2015. Ms. Chen's whereabouts is unknown.

13. [Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Yan Shaoqing Detained

Ms. Yan Shaoqing from Xinzhou District was arrested by officers from the Shangrao City Political and Legal Affairs Committee in July 2015. She is being held in the Shangrao City Detention Center.

14. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wang Xin, Ms. Guo Xiuping, and Ms. Bai Yuanxian were sentenced by the Xinghualing District Court on July 28, 2015. The court sentenced Ms. Wang and Ms. Guo to three years and two months in prison and Ms. Bai to three years in prison.

15. [Beijing] Ms. He Zhiying Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. He Zhiying was taken to a brainwashing center on July 24, 2015.

16. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. He Zongding Detained

Mr. He Zongding was arrested when he was posting signs about the international suing of Jiang Zemin near the Xiaoba Police Station on July 28, 2015. He was taken to the police station for 10 days of detention.

17. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Shuyan Detained

Ms. Gao Shuyan, an employee at the Cement Plant, Daowai District was arrested at home by officers from the Shuinilu Police Station on July 31, 2015. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books. Ms. Gao was transferred to the detention center on August 1.

18. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Hu Yating Detained

Ms. Hu Yating from the Shunde District was arrested by officers from the Huangpu Town Police Station, Zhongshan City when she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Huangpu town on July 31, 2015. She was taken to the Maling Police Station in the Nanqu Neighborhood, Zhongshan City for 10 days of detention.

19. [Liangshan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Guiyu and Ms. Ma Yuhong Detained

Ms. Song Guiyu and Ms. Ma Yuhong were arrested by the patrol police when they were telling people about Falun Gong near the Zhongqu Police Station on July 28, 2015. Both practitioners are being held in the Xijiao Detention Center for 10 days of detention.

20. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhu Zuocheng's Family Arrested

Mr. Zhu Zuocheng, 66, his wife Ms. Yu Shuqin, 63, and their son Mr. Zhu Yan, 38, were arrested by officers from the Urumqi City Police Department on July 21, 2015. The couple were taken to the detention center. Their son was released late that night.

21. [Guang'an City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Hu Xiaocui Detained

Officers from the Beichen Police Station and officials from the local residential committee arrested Ms. Hu Xiaocui and ransacked her home on the afternoon of July 29, 2015. They confiscated a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Dafa books, a computer, and Falun Gong informational materials. Ms. Hu is currently being held in the Huaying City Detention Center.

22. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Hongjuan Detained

Ms. Wu Hongjuan was arrested at home in Luohu District on the evening of July 22, 2015. She is being held in the Luohu Detention Center.

23. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Lingmei and Ms. Jiang Zhongbi Arrested

Ms. Zhang Lingmei and Ms. Jiang Zhongbi were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division when they were distributing informational brochures on July 22, 2015. They were taken to the Liugongli Police Station in Nanping Town. Both practitioners were released that day. They were being followed and monitored by personnel reporting to Nanhu Residential Community throughout the day.

24. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Sufeng Detained

Ms. Gao Sufeng from Xinglongtai District mailed her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin on June 19, 2015. Local police officers showed up at her home on the morning of July 31. They told her to sign some forms and statements. She refused. The officers took her to the No. 3 Detention Center of the Police Department.
