(Minghui.org) I started to practice Falun Dafa in 1998. Though I am elderly, I have been distributing Falun Dafa materials to people for many years. I know that it is the mission of a Falun Dafa practitioner.

I was arrested in March this year while distributing materials about Falun Dafa. My home was ransacked and the police took away many copies of my materials. I was then detained for seven days.

My fellow practitioners had reminded me to maintain righteous thoughts when doing Falun Dafa work because they noticed that I had attachments. But I did not think about this and did not change; thus, the old forces took advantage of my loopholes.

I kept sending forth righteous thoughts after I was arrested and told the police about Falun Dafa while they took me to the station.

The officer who interrogated me at the police station asked me why I practiced Falun Dafa. I told him that I used to suffer from hepatitis B and liver cysts.

“I didn't have much money. If I spent my money on seeing the doctor, I could not pay the tuition fee for my kids and we would not have anything to eat,” I explained. “I recovered from my illnesses through practicing Falun Dafa.”

He was speechless, nodded his head, and left the room.

One police woman whispered to me when she saw there was nobody in the room. “Please be careful after you go back home,” she said. “They will often come to harass you.” She also told me that her grandparents practiced Falun Dafa.

A few policemen from the State Security Bureau later ransacked my home. My son, who was very supportive of Falun Dafa, managed to hide Master's photos, Falun Dafa books, and my computer before they found them.

Making Positive Waves in Detention

I was sent to a detention center that used to be a brainwashing center where many practitioners had been severely persecuted. It now detained dozens and dozens of drug addicts, prostitutes, and gamblers. They were all young people, and I was the only Falun Dafa practitioner.

In my cell, the TV played programs slandering Falun Dafa 24 hours a day. At night, strong lights lighted the room as if it were a bright day. There were two cameras in each cell; however, when I practiced the exercises, inmates would remind me to move to avoid the cameras.

One day it was very cold. Two inmates would sleep in one bed to keep each other warm. But when I did the sitting meditation on the bed, I did not feel cold. The guard yelled at the inmates and ordered them to go back to their own beds. They said that they were too cold and could not sleep. The guard pointed at me and said, “Look at her. She is older than you but she doesn't say she is cold.”

One girl had a drug seizure and was painfully convulsing on the ground. I got up to help her. The guard stopped me and said, “Hold on. Let the young girls do that.”

A 22-year-old girl from the countryside came in and asked who practiced Falun Dafa. She said that a guard arranged for her to be in my cell and told her to not practice prostitution anymore but to learn Falun Dafa from me instead.

Inmates had three small meals, but when I went to the canteen to eat, the service ladies treated me differently. “Grandma, please have as much as you want,” they told me. “You are different from other people.”

On my first day in the detention center, I felt sorry for the young ladies who had gone astray since they had not had the opportunity to learn about Falun Dafa.

On the second day, I found that they were very nice because they all knew “Falun Dafa is good.” Their knowing side could distinguish good from bad and kindness from evil. They shouted “Falun Dafa is good”despite the risk of a heavy penalty for doing so.

One day when they were allowed to go out for fresh air, every inmate passing me said, “Sister: Falun Dafa is good,” and, “We want to join you.” Some inmates also shouted, “Heaven is going to eliminate the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Withdraw from the CCP and keep yourself safe.”

As the inmates came past me one-by-one, “Falun Dafa is good” resonated through the air.

Since then, whenever they saw me on my way to the dining room or the shower, they shouted, “Falun Dafa is good.” I saluted to them and they shouted even louder. The whole detention center could hear, and the guards pretended not to see or hear anything.

I was very touched. More and more people were awakening through Falun Dafa practitioners' efforts. Yet, I also felt regret because I had not done well when clarifying the truth to young people. I would definitely do better after I was released.

When I was leaving the detention center, the director made a point to talk to me. “Do not go out to distribute materials again,” he said. “Your children will be implicated, and they will not be able to go abroad or have a good job. If you think Falun Dafa is good, please practice at home. No one cares about what you do at home.”

I thanked him and wished him well.
