Additional Persecution News from China – August 1, 2015 (24 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 24 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 21 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 39 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Eight practitioners were arrested in Qianwei Township on July 30, 2015. They are Mr. Ren Shouzhi, Mr. Yuan Lishu, Ms. Ji Huanfin, Mr. Jiang Jinrong, Ms. Pan Guiying, Ms. Zhang Yanhua, Mr. Han Qingtao, and Mr. Han Zhong.

2. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] 16 Practitioners and One Non-Practitioner Detained

Sixteen practitioners and a non-practitioner were arrested on July 28, 2015. They are: Mr. Zhao Hongrong, Mr. Zhang Shirong, Mr. Wen Hai, Mr. Wen Jinglin, Mr. Lan Bo, Ms. Ji Chunxia, Mr. Xiu Cai, Mr. Xiu Hongjun, Ms. Xiu Hongyan, Ms. Xu Jinhua, Ms. Qu Xueying, Ms. Li Jie, Ms. Liu Shuhua, Ms. Man Lifen, Mr. Qiao Zhuhua, and Mr. Chen Jian. They were all detained 15 days. The non-practitioner, Xiu Gui, was detained 10 days. The men were detained at the Bin County Detention Center and the women in Harbin City.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Han Jing Sentenced

Ms. Han Jing was recently sentenced to an 18-month prison term by the Shenyang Court.

4. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wang Caixia Arrested

Ms. Wang Caixia was arrested and taken to the Suojianglou Police Station on July 29, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was later taken to the Yujiahe Detention Center by Li Jun (黎军), captain of the Domestic Security Division.

5. [Diaobingshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Xiaohui Detained

Mr. Liu Xiaohui was arrested at home by Zhang Fenglai (张风来) from the Diaobingshan City Domestic Security Division and other officers on July 22, 2015. The police confiscated 2,000 yuan in cash and personal items with total value of approximately 20,000 yuan. He is detained at the Tieling Detention Center.

6. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wu Congguo, Ms. Yang Jiali, Ms. Jin Lihua, and Ms. Zhao Shuqing were arrested by officers from the Jiaxi Police Station on July 30, 2015. Mr. Wu was released and the other three are detained.

7. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yu Rong Detained

Ms. Yu Rong was arrested by officers from the Yonghong Police Station on July 27, 2015. She is detained in the Shuangyashan City Detention Center.

8. [Xiuyan City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced

Three practitioners were secretly sentenced by the Xiuyan Court. Mr. Wang Guoyan was sentenced to three years in prison, Mr. Jiang Hantong to five years, and Mr. Wang Shixian to seven years.

9. [Wucheng County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Dong Fenghong, Mr. Bai Ziyu, Mr. Bai Zibin, and Ms. Li Yuzhen were arrested by officers from the Wucheng Town Police Department on July 31, 2015. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books and criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former dictator of the Chinese Communist Party.

10. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Yunfeng Arrested

Ms. Wu Yunfeng was arrested at home by officers from the Yingli Town Police Station on July 24, 2015. The police ransacked her home. She was released that afternoon.

11. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Mr. Lu Zhanshan and Ms. Zhou Linying Arrested

Mr. Lu Zhanshan and Ms. Zhou Linying were arrested by officers from the Wuwei City Domestic Security Division and Fengle Police Station on July 24, 2015.

12. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xiong Meiying Arrested

Ms. Xiong Meiying was arrested on July 30, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

13. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jia Shoufen Detained

Ms. Jia Shoufen, 50, was arrested by officers from the Jinqiao Police Station on July 22, 2015. The police ransacked her home and confiscated computers, printers, recorders, Falun Gong books, and personal items. She was detained at the Fushan District Detention Center for 30 days.

Ms. Ma Xinhong was arrested by officers from the Yuzhou City 610 Office and Domestic Security Division on July 30, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Guilian Arrested

Ms. Chen Guilian was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Lou Village Police Station on July 30, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to that police station.

16. [Jiangyuan County, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiaolian and her sister and Ms. Zhao Junxian were arrested and taken to the Baishan City Detention Center by officers from the Wangou Town Police Station on July 29, 2015.

17. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Li Mingfang Arrested

Ms. Li Mingfang was arrested by officers from the Yunyan Police Department on July 31, 2015. The police confiscated computers, printers, cell phones, Falun Gong books, and other personal items.

18. [Changwu County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xi Cairong Detained

Ms. Xi Cairong, arrested on July 17, 2015, is detained at the Qindu Detention Center in Xianyang City.

19. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zheng Shuju and Ms. Xu Xiuying Arrested

Mr. Zheng Shuju and his wife Ms. Xu Xiuying were arrested by officers from Yinan County, Jiehu Police Station, and Yinan 610 Office on July 29, 2015. They were taken to a police station and released the next day.

20. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liu Simei and Mr. Ma Yuequn Arrested

Ms. Liu Simei and Mr. Ma Yuequn were arrested by officers from the Yushui Police Department and Domestic Security Division on July 29, 2015. They were taken to the Xinyu City Detention Center. The police took computers, printers, MP players, and Falun Gong books from Ms. Liu's home.

21. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Shuzhi Arrested

Ms. Li Shuzhi was arrested by officers from the Beipiao City Domestic Security Division and Nanshan Police Station on July 31, 2015. She was released that afternoon.

22. [Ningbo City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Xin Li Arrested

Mr. Xin Li from Changchun City, Jilin Province, was recently arrested in Ningbo City.

23. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zou Zaiyu and Ms. Su Qifeng Detained

Mr. Zou Zaiyu and Ms. Su Qifeng, in her 60s, were arrested on July 20, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are detained in a local detention center.

Mr. Li Kai was beaten and arrested at his home by Lulong County Police Department officers on July 29, 2015.
