Two Practitioners Arrested in Lingshan County, Guangxi Autonomous Region

(Minghui.org) A few minutes after Ms. Huang Lin went to Ms. Wei Yugui's home on the morning of June 24, 2015, officers broke into the residence and arrested them. They also confiscated Falun Gong materials, DVDs, a computer, a printer, and other items.

The officers were led by Yang Deming, head of the Domestic Security Division of the Lingshan County Police Department, and deputy head Li Qin.

Both practitioners were taken to the Lingcheng Police Station for half a day. They were then taken to the police department and held until 11p.m. Ms. Huang was taken to a detention center for 10 days. When her family brought clothing for her, they were told that her detention would end on July 4. Ms. Wei was taken to the Qinzhou City Detention Center.

On July 3, Ms. Huang was taken to the Kangxiling Brainwashing Center in Qinzhou City by the two Domestic Security heads. When Ms. Huang's family went to the detention center to bring her home on July 4, the guards told them that Ms. Huang had already been released the day before. The guards refused to disclose Ms. Huang's whereabouts.

Ms. Huang's blood pressure measured dangerously high when she was examined in the brainwashing center, which released her on July 7.

The next day, the deputy Domestic Security head led officers to raid Ms. Huang's home. They confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, MP3 players, e-books, stickers with information about the persecution of Falun Gong, and external hard drives.

The Kangxiling Brainwashing Center in Qinzhou City

The Kangxiling Brainwashing Center holds practitioners from across the Guangxi Autonomous Region. Detainees are told upon arrival that they are not allowed to meditate, and they cannot go home unless they are “transformed,” or made to renounce Falun Gong.

In the brainwashing center, practitioners are forced to curse Falun Gong and are surrounded by propaganda posters attacking Falun Gong. Two security cameras are mounted in each room, and more are installed along the hallways and corners.
