Additional Persecution News from China (Part 1) – July 24, 2015 (31 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 36 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Zhiqiang Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Mr. Li Zhiqiang was sentenced to four years in prison by the Dezhou City Intermediate Court without a hearing.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Hao Runjun's Home Ransacked Twice

The deputy director of the Taitou Town Police Station in Jinghai County led other officers to Mr. Hao Runjun’s and his wife Ms. Yang Zhiling's home on the evening of July 16, 2015. They harassed and threatened the couple, and then confiscated a desk calendar with Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) content.

The officers broke into Mr. Hao' home again on the afternoon of July 20 to arrest the couple. The couple was out at work.

They ransacked the place despite that the couple was absent. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, the package of lawsuits they had prepared against Jiang Zemin, and a set-top box for watching the independent NTD Television. Since then a police car has been circling around the couple's home every day.

3. [Anhua County, Hunan Province] Mr. Chen Xinchu Arrested

Mr. Chen Xinchu, 60, from Dafu Town, was arrested when he was distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Meicheng Town on July 21, 2015.

4. [Yaan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Lu Guangxin Taken to Detention Center

Mr. Lu Guangxin was arrested and taken to the Duoying Town Detention Center on the afternoon of July 21, 2015.

5. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Yanxiu Arrested

Ms. Chen Yanxiu, nearly 60, was videotaped when she posted Falun Gong informational stickers on July 18, 2015. The videotape was turned in to the Anwen Police Station in the Qijiang District. On the morning of July 21, officers from the police station arrested her. Ms. Chen has repeatedly been held in labor camps over the course of the persecution.

6. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Updated List of Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Pan Mingyue, from Xinxing Township, was arrested on July 20, 2015.Mr. Xia Xingwei and Ms. Chen Yonglan, from Shuiquan Township, were arrested on the evening of July 21, 2015.Mr. Zhang Jun, from Xinli Village, Handian Town, was arrested on the evening of July 21, 2015.Ms. Wang Xiufen, from the Xinanyu area, was arrested around July 11 or 12, 2015.Ms. Liu Li, from the Xinanyu area, was arrested around July 21, 2015.Mr. Wang Jiaan, from the Dongjie area.Ms. Li Caifen, from Zhengli Village, Dancheng Township.Mr. Dong Fang and Mr. Zhang Jun, from Handian Town.Ms. Wang Wenjuan and her sister, from Dongbeiyu area.Xiao Ying, from Xingtuan Village, Lianxing Township, was arrested on July 22, 2015.Ms. Zhang Guifen, from Lalatun Village, Handian Town, was arrested on July 22, 2015.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Sun Ti Arrested

Ms. Sun Ti was arrested by officers from the Shengli Police Station on July 22, 2015 for mailing a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin.

8. [Beijing] Four Practitioners Still Held in Daxing Detention Center

Mr. Jiang Xiandong, Mr. Du Wenge, Ms. Feng Yumei, and Mr. Li Hongshan were tried separately by the Daxing District Court around mid-June 2015. Over a month has passed, and the court has not reached a decision. The four practitioners remain in custody at the Daxing Detention Center.

9. [Ruichang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaohong Missing

Ms. Zhang Xiaohong has been missing for over two months.

10. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Muzhen and Ms. Zhang Mujie Detained

Ms. Zhang Muzhen and Ms. Zhang Mujie from Yanqing County went to the Yongning Bus Station to tell people about Falun Gong on the morning of July 22, 2015. They were reported to the police. Officers from the Yongning Police Station arrested them and ransacked their homes. The officers confiscated some Falun Dafa materials and an MP3 player. Both practitioners were taken to the Haidian Detention Center.

11. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Officers from the Binhai Police Department, affiliated with Shengli Oilfield, arrested several practitioners and ransacked their homes on July 21, 2015. The following are known to have been arrested: Mr. Shi Qiang, Ms. Zhang Yi, Ms. Shi Huanling, Mr. Liu, Ms. Liu Zhixia, Ms. Cui, and Ms. Cui's mother from the Shengcai area. Some practitioners are being held in the Jishu Brainwashing Center, and others are held in the Shengcai Brainwashing Center.

12. [Diaobingshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hao Lianying Harassed

Approximately six police officers broke into Ms. Hao Lianying's home and told her to go to the police station with them on the morning of July 22, 2015. Ms. Hao refused. Wang Xueping, a Domestic Security officer, asked if she had filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, demanded to know who helped her prepare the lawsuit, and which post office she mailed it from. They also confiscated a photo of the founder of Falun Gong.

13. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Bai He Detained

Ms. Bai He was arrested in the building where she lives on the morning of July 23, 2015 by officers who were waiting downstairs. The officers confiscated her laptop. Ms. Bai's 80-year-old mother is left home alone.

14. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Guiwen Faces Trial

Officers from the Heguan Town Police Station, and officials from the Qingzhou City Procuratorate and the Qingzhou City Court went to Ms. Dong Guiwen's home in Zhujia Village, Heguan Town several times recently. They threatened her and told her that she would be put on trial in 10 days.

15. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Guizhen Arrested

Ms. Wang Guizhen was arrested on July 22, 2015.

16. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Shujie Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shujie was arrested from her rental home on the morning of July 23, 2015. Her daughter was arrested at the same time. The police officers took the keys from her daughter. They ransacked her daughter's home, and confiscated Falun Dafa books and other items.

17. [Nanning City, Guangxi Province] Ms. Liu Xiamei Arrested

Ms. Liu Xiamei was arrested about a week ago.

18. [Fei County, Shandong Province] Mr. Guo Qingshen Detained

Mr. Guo Qingshen from Guojiazhuang Village, Shangye Town was arrested by officers from the Zhongluoshan Police Station in Shijing Town when he posted Falun Gong informational stickers on July 22, 2015. Agents from the Shangye Town 610 Office and the police station ransacked his home. They confiscated some Falun Gong informational stickers, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, and several amulets. Mr. Guo was taken to the Fei County Detention Center that afternoon.

19. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Xiulian Arrested

Approximately six uniformed and plainclothes police officers broke into Ms. Wang Xiulian's home in the Jiazhoushuijun Residential Community, Liang Township when she was preparing dinner on July 17, 2015. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a printer, a notebook computer, two copies of Zhuan Falun, a copy of Hong Yin and Hong Yin Vol. II, a box for receiving NTD Television programs, two seals for stamping Falun Gong information on paper currency bills, and Falun Dafa informational materials. Ms. Wang was taken to the Changyang Police Station and held there until after 10 p.m. She was then taken to the Fangshan Detention Center. She was sent back home that night after she failed to pass the physical examination.

20. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Guifen's Home Ransacked

Officers from the Jiangjin District Domestic Security Division and the Police Department went to Ms. Chen Guifen's home and ransacked the place on the afternoon of May 20, 2015. They confiscated over 200 copies of Minghui Weekly, two copies of Falun Dafa books, and the criminal complaint she had prepared against Jiang Zemin. They forced Ms. Chen to sign the list of items confiscated.

21. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhao Guicun Harassed

Officers from the local police station and officials from the residential committee showed up at Ms. Zhao Guicun's home to harass her on July 10, 2015. Ms. Zhao resisted their harassment with righteous thoughts. When they returned the next day Ms. Zhao did not even open the door, and they had to leave.

22. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Yu Forced to Leave Town

Liu Caijun and other officers from the Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Yu Shuxia's home and ransacked the place in June 2015. Liu Caijun had often showed up at Ms. Yu's home to harass her. Ms. Yu had to leave town to avoid further persecution.

23. [Chongqing] Mr. Zheng Dinghui Monitored

Police officers ransacked Mr. Zheng Dinghui's home in the Jiangjin District on the afternoon of July 22, 2015. Mr. Zheng was not at home at that time. Mr. Zheng is now being confined to the home, and he is being watched.

24. [Pulandian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Cuihua Missing

Ms. Wu Cuihua has been missing for two days. Her whereabouts are unknown.

25. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhang Zhenhai's Home Ransacked

Mr. Zhang Zhenhai is from the Xiyangzhuang Administrative Village in Chuanhui District. The police ransacked his home on the morning of July 22, 2015. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, a notebook computer, and a USB flash disk.

26. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners' Homes Ransacked

Mr. Gan Changlin, Ms. Zhu Xianlan, and Ms. Teng Caijin, from Guangyang Town, Nan'an District, went to the Guangyang Town Post Office to mail their lawsuits against Jiang Zemin on the afternoon of July 12, 2015.

Zhou Xilan from the Guangyang Town 610 Office and a dozen or so officers from the Guangyang Police Station and the Nan'an District Police Department ransacked the three practitioners' homes on the morning of July 15, 2015. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and Falun Gong informational materials. They pressured the three practitioners to write guarantee statements and threatened to take them to a brainwashing center.

27. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tao Aiping Arrested

Ms. Tao Aiping, from the Kongbu Community, Wangjijie, Xinzhou District, went to the Yangluo Print Shop to print out her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. She was arrested by officers from the Yangluo Police Station. It is likely that she has been held at the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.

28. [Taihe County, Anhui Province] Ms. Shao Quanxia and Husband Detained

Ms. Shao Quanxia was arrested by director Hou, officer Zhang Hui and five officers from the Zhaoji Township Police Station as she returned home from telling people about Falun Gong in Zhaoji Township on July 21, 2015.

The police ransacked Ms. Shao's home that afternoon. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, a computer, a printer, a DVD burner, Falun Gong informational materials, cell phones, and a copy of a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. Ms. Shao's husband was also arrested for speaking out on her behalf. The couple are being held in the Taihe County Detention Center. Their two children are home alone.

29. [Ruian City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zeng Ailing Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zeng Ailing was arrested at the door of her home by officers from the Ruian City 610 Office on July 19, 2015. She was taken to a brainwashing center.

30. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Xiancheng Tried

Elderly practitioner Mr. Zhou Xiancheng was tried again by the Xinzhou District Court, Wuhan City on July 17, 2015. The court did not allow his lawyer to speak.

Later, Mr. Zhou's family called Judge Zhou ([phone]). Judge Zhou was rude and arrogant, and threatened to sentence Mr. Zhou to three years in prison.

31. [Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Xiaojie Harassed

Deputy chief Cheng from the Weihe Town Police Station led three officers to Ms. Wang Xiaojie's home. They harassed her, and threatened to put her in a detention center or sentence her to prison.
