(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the annual Multicultural Festival held in the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Center in Ontario from June 20 to 21, 2015.

In addition to providing a booth similar to other groups, the organizing committee also arranged a place big enough for Falun Gong practitioners to offer free lessons to visitors. An eye-catching banner and posters with Falun Gong information were placed near the booth.

Many passersby signed a petition calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s live organ harvesting after learning about the atrocities. Some Chinese visitors also took informational materials with them and talked with the practitioners.

A Vietnamese visitor named Quang watched the practitioners' demonstration of the exercises and read the posters, and decided to sign the petition. He said that he knew about Falun Gong and the CCP, and had no problems deciding where he stood.

Mr. Fan and his wife came to Canada recently from China. They talked to a practitioner, who told them about the spread of Falun Gong and the persecution happening in China. Mr. Fan said he identified with the Falun Gong principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and had read the Nine Commentaries on Communist Party in China. He signed a petition against the CCP's live organ harvesting and said that he would withdraw from the CCP.

A college student from Wuhan read the posters carefully. He talked with a practitioner with an advanced degree about science and how it relates to cultivation for over an hour. He took a copy of the Nine Commentaries and informational materials.

A few practitioners had prepared several hundred hand-folded paper lotus flowers before the events, symbolizing the virtue of arising out of mud, but maintaining purity.

MP Stephen Woodworth is a member of Friends of Falun Gong. Like in previous years, he went to the practitioners' booth and talked with the practitioners, offering his assistance.
