Additional Persecution News from China – July 9, 2015 (17 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Hongpeng Persecuted to Death

Ms. Li Hongpeng, started to practice Falun Gong in 1999. She was arrested in September 2000 for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Her head was seriously injured when police officers beat her brutally. She was taken to the Hulan Hospital for treatment, but died from her injuries in late December 2000.

2. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Liang Rong Detained

Ms. Liang Rong was arrested by officers from the Weiqu Police Station in Changan County on July 7, 2015. The police ransacked her home. She is detained at the Changan County Detention Center.

3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tang Huaqiao Detained

Ms. Tang Huaqiao was arrested by plainclothes officers on July 6, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is now in the Rongcheng City Detention Center.

4. [Chongqing] Ms. Xu Ping and Ms. Wang Qi Arrested

Ms. Xu Ping and Ms. Wang Qi were arrested on July 4, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked.

5. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Fan Xuelian and Ms. Jie Xiurong were arrested at the Gudan Town Post Office on July 6, 2015, for mailing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former dictator of the Chinese Communist Party.

Ms. Yang Haiqin and Ms. Li Meihua were arrested by officers from the Gudan Town Police Station the same day.

The four practitioners were later taken to the Jiaozuo Detention Center by Wang Gongjun (王公军), director of the Domestic Security Division.

Mr. Dai Zhongmin was arrested at work on July 3, 2015. The police ransacked his home. He is in the Lulong County Detention Center.

Ms. Jia Keyun, in her 50s, and Ms. Li Fengying, in her 70s, were arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station on the morning of July 7, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Li was released that evening and Ms. Jia is detained at the Weifang City Detention Center.

Ms. Huang Hongmei was arrested by officers from the Nanshan District Domestic Security Division and 610 Office on July 2, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

9.[Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Ju Qin Arrested

Ms. Ju Qin was arrested by officers from the Gaojia Town Police Station in the Weibin District on July 6, 2015. The police ransacked her home.

10. [Shanghai] Ms. Ye Meiyun Detained

Ms. Ye Meiyun was arrested by officers from the Qingpu District Domestic Security Division and Liantang Town Police Station on June 14, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home. She is now in the Qingpu Detention Center.

11. [Chongqing] Ms. Tang Wanxiu Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Tang Wanxiu was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center on June 23, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

12. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Ailan Sentenced

Ms. Sun Ailan was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Xigang Court on June 6, 2015. She was arrested by officers from the Qingniwaqiao Police Station on the morning of July 21, 2014. She is detained at the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

13. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Ruiqin and Ms. Wang Xiumei Detained

Ms. Liu Ruiqin and Ms. Wang Xiumei are detained at the Jixi City No. 2 Detention Center.

Ms. Liu was arrested by officers from the Chengzihe District Domestic Security Division on July 1, 2015, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs.

Ms. Wang was arrested by Dongfeng Police Station officers in the Giguan District on the afternoon of July 4, 2015, for distributing informational DVDs about the persecution of Falun Gong.

14. [Xingtang County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhen Baihuo and His Family Arrested

Mr. Zhen Baihuo, his wife Ms. Su Xiangcui, and two daughters were arrested by officers from the Anxiang Town Police Station, Police Department, and Kaifa District Police Station on the evening of July 5, 2015. The police ransacked his home. His daughters were released. Mr. Zhen is being held in the Xingtang County Detention Center and and Ms. Su in the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center.

15. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yuan Jine's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Yuan Jine was arrested by officers from the Yijiangmen Police Station on June 16, 2015. The police ransacked her home. Her present whereabouts is unknown.

16. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Cai Shijun Detained

Mr. Cai Shijun was sentenced to a three-year prison term in May 2015. He is detained at the Xilin Detention Center.

17. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Hu Baori, Ms. Li Yanhe, Ms. Hu Guanxia, Mr. Ai Die, and Ms. Mi Popo were arrested by officers from the Yuetian Town Police Station on the evening of July 7, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.
