(Minghui.org) I have talked to many people about Falun Gong over the years and have met some remarkable people. Here are some experiences I would like to share.
Hope for China
“I didn't know what Falun Gong was about, but now I do,” a man told me after a brief conversation. “I used to say that there's no hope for China, but now I see hope. The hope lies with you [Falun Gong practitioners]!”
I had told this man about Falun Gong and the persecution, which began in 1999. I told him that practitioners tell people about the persecution because it targets the very core of important values of our society - Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
He said, “I saw many Falun Gong practitioners during my trip to Thailand. Some had speakers and others held display boards. They told people about the persecution and quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It's so remarkable that you guys are doing the same in China.” He said that he sees hope now, because a group of people are able to stand up for what's right for China.
People Know Falun Gong Is Good
I once spoke to a man about Falun Gong who took the opportunity to withdraw from the CCP. He made a slight bow with his fists in front of the chest and said “Thank you. I know you are good people who have been wronged. Things will change for the better, sooner or later. Please be careful.”
Seeing Me Again Puts Elderly Couple at Ease
In a courtyard of a residence I heard, “She's come.” I turned around and saw an elderly couple. They were happy to see me and said, “We have finally seen you again.”
Looking at the puzzled look on my face, they said, “You don't remember us!? You gave us truth clarification books, DVDs, and a calendar last year. We are still reading the books!”
I smiled and apologized, as I've met so many people that I had forgotten them.
The woman smiled, “We haven't seen you for a year, and have been worrying about you. We are so glad to see you again and that you are well.”
I was very encouraged by their kindness and genuine concern.
