(Minghui.org) I had not done the three things well for a long time. Through Fa study I came to understand that “assisting Master in Fa-rectification” is not just a simple phrase. I made up my mind to study the Fa more and to correct every thought based on the Fa. Thus, impure thoughts, thought karma and incorrect notions would not interfere with me.
Recently, I started going to the county seat to tell people about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I always dressed appropriately before I went out. When I met someone with a predestined relationship I would first send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all the old force elements that could interfere with him and prevent him from listening to what I had to say.
Party Secretary Changes His Attitude Towards Falun Dafa
I saw a man near the police department. I greeted him and asked if he had read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and informational materials about Falun Dafa and the persecution. He turned around and said fiercely, “You have guts! Do you know who I am? I am the dignified party secretary!”
I remained very calm and replied, “I don't think about myself. I am worried about you.” He asked, “Why would you worry about me?” I said, “I worry about how you are going to escape the catastrophe. If you withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) you will be able to escape. You can withdraw using an alias if you are concerned about your safety.”
His tone eased while listening to me. I continued, “If your superiors assign you any task to persecute Dafa practitioners, please don’t do it, and don’t have your subordinates do it either. You should stand on the side of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and on the side of righteousness. If you can do so, it will be good for you.” He nodded in agreement. Before he left, I gave him a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and some Dafa informational materials. He accepted them, thanked me and then left.
Policeman Moved by Practitioner
Whenever I meet people who work for the police, I tell them about the beauty of Dafa and about the persecution.
I once met a police officer at a shoe repair stall. I knew that he used to work for the Domestic Security Division. I waited until he had his shoes repaired. As he was about to leave, I walked up to him and asked if he still worked for the Domestic Security Division. He said that he did.
I told him, “Please treat Dafa practitioners kindly. If your superiors tell you to arrest any practitioners, don’t do it. Doing so will bring good luck to you.”
He said, “No one would bother you if you practice at home.” I responded, “If we stay at home, who would tell you how to escape the catastrophes?”
It seemed that he understood that we are saving lives, and told me that he had treated my husband with respect. I said, “I know that you and my husband get along well; that is why I am telling you about this.”
He seemed moved by my words, and thanked me. He waved to me before he got in his car, and kept waving until his car was far away.
Cultivation and Saving Lives Are Integrated
We are Dafa practitioners; we should eliminate the mentality of fear and cultivate compassion. There are many people with a kind nature. When we tell them the facts about Dafa and the persecution, and when we advised them to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, many of them have tears in their eyes.
It is because Dafa practitioners' compassion has touched their knowing side, and they truly come to understand what the practitioners are trying to tell them. Therefore, our cultivation and our saving lives are integrated.
We must cultivate diligently so that our strong righteous and compassionate energy can really save people and save more people.
