(Minghui.org) I told my friend Song Xiao the facts about Falun Gong two years ago, and she agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates. She urged her family to quit, and they also did so.
I met her father, a city prosecutor, in January 2015, and talked with him about Falun Gong. He was so impressed that he wanted to practice it, as did his wife and daughter.
“I will tell my friends and relatives the facts about Falun Gong. They will certainly benefit from it too.” he said.
They watched the video lectures given by the founder of Falun Gong, Mr. Li Hongzhi. Song Xiao said to her husband, “I can find nothing wrong with teaching people to be good. The CCP propaganda about Falun Gong is a complete lie.”
Her husband said, “When you want to condemn someone, you can always trump up a charge. That is how the CCP works.”
Mr. Song admired what the founder of Falun Gong taught, and regretted that he had not learned it sooner.
Reading Falun Gong Books 16 Years Ago
Mr. Song told me that he had actually read Falun Gong books 16 years ago. He got two of them in 1999, when he was on a business trip. The practitioners in the village he was sent to had gotten together to read a Falun Gong book.
This was just before the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999. One of his colleagues warned him not to read the books, because they had gotten orders from their superiors to watch out for Falun Gong, and he could get into trouble if he read them.
He read them anyway, and thought they were very good. After the persecution began, he had to give the books to his sister, who treasured them.
Benefiting from Learning the Facts About Falun Gong
Song Xiao recently passed her professional qualification exam. Many of her colleagues have taken the test many times, but failed to pass it. She attributed her success to her keeping the words “Falun Dafa is good” in mind all the time, as I had suggested to her.
Song Xiao's daughter goes to elementary school. Her teacher said that she did not elaborate enough in her schoolwork, which made her feel inferior to her classmates. Her mother was quite troubled by her state of mind.
I told the little girl the facts about Falun Gong, and asked her to keep in mind that “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She followed my advice and no longer argued with her little brother. She got much higher marks than usual on her final exam, and her teacher praised her for her progress.
Mr. Song and his wife talked to their relatives and friends about Falun Gong during the Chinese New Year. Many of the relatives quit the CCP and its affiliates after learning the facts. The entire family chose a wonderful future for themselves.
