(Minghui.org) More mayors and city councilors wrote to Falun Dafa Association of Canada in recognition of World Falun Dafa Day.

Councilor James Pasternak of Ward 10, City of Toronto stated in his letter, “Toronto as one of the most diverse cities in the world benefits from your customs, traditions and teachings. This month-long celebration promotes truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance; values that contribute to the advancement of our city and country's multiculturalism.”

He concluded, “Once again, thank you to the members of the Falun Dafa Association of Canada for sharing their practices and traditions with the residents of Toronto.”
Mayor Berry Vrbanovic of the City of Kitchener stated in his letter, “On behalf of Kitchener City Council, I wish to extend my congratulations to the Falun Dafa Association of Canada as you celebrate your 23rd anniversary, alongside your friends, family and community.”

He continued, “Your commitment to physical, mental and spiritual well-being as well as your promotion of compassion, truthfulness and forbearance is commendable.”
Mayor Jeff Lehman of the City of Barrie stated in his letter, “May your commitment and dedication to the Falun Dafa allow you to flourish with a high level of mental, physical and spiritual health.
“I offer my congratulations and wish you much happiness in your week of celebrations.”

Mayor Christian Provenzano of the City of Sault Ste. Marie in north Ontario issued a proclamation to proclaim May 13, 2015 as World Falun Dafa Day.

“Since public teaching began in 1992, millions of people have experience great improvements in their physical health and moral character;” stated the proclamation.
It continued, “This year over 100 million people from over 100 countries across the world celebrate the 23rd Anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day and stand united together for the freedom to practice without oppression and to live by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance.”
