(Minghui.org) A group of Falun Gong practitioners who are senior citizens visited families of illegally imprisoned practitioners during the holidays. No matter what the extenuating circumstances were, they did their best to help, and families developed a positive attitude towards Falun Gong.

My husband, brother-in-law and I were severely persecuted, and my family suffered greatly, yet in the end my father-in-law appreciated the help he received from practitioners.

My husband and I were given long prison sentences. My mother-in-law died after being bedridden for over six years. My brother-in-law was sentenced to four years in prison for making informational materials about the persecution.

As a result, my over 70-year-old father-in-law was left alone and cried incessantly. We were very worried but there was nothing we could do in prison.

We were really surprised when we were released. My father-in-law who had been poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party and was against Falun Gong, was now supportive, and clearly understood the truth about the persecution.

Father-in-law said, “I owe my whole life to Falun Gong.”

Falun Gong practitioners visited my father-in-law frequently and brought him daily necessities when my husband and I were imprisoned. There were so many families in difficult circumstances due to the persecution, but they never forgot him. He tried to pay them but they refused to accept his money. He said, “I owe my whole life to Falun Gong.”

I felt so grateful to my fellow practitioners when I saw the changes in my father-in-law.

Practitioners Continued to Help My Family After I Was Released

I was released from prison during the Chinese New Year. Five practitioners came to my home. They brought us fruit, cooking oil, a bag of rice that weighed over 50 lbs, and asked what else we needed.

I feel as if practitioners in our area were like a big family, and warmed my heart. I was truly touched.
