Misfortune after Defaming Dafa
My ex-husband used to speak well of Falun Gong because I had become a better person and no longer argued with him. He even said that he would practice Falun Gong after he retired.
After our divorce, he turned against the practice. Once when we were discussing custody of our daughter, he maligned the founder of the practice. I warned him and said that he could face problems if he did not stop. He said that he was not afraid.
Several years ago he lost his voice and now has come down with lung cancer. After the surgeon took out one lung, the cancer spread to his brain and kidneys.
Benefiting Because of Good Thoughts
My daughter does not practice Falun Gong, but when she was little her celestial eye opened and she could see the emblem of the practice that is pictured in Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong,spinning and the words in the book glittering. She has benefited greatly because she believes that Falun Gong is good.
At the age of 3 she ran a high fever. Despite medication, it worsened. She had frequent bouts of fever and I was not quite sure how to react. Then I recalled what Master said, “... with one person practicing, the whole family benefits.” ("Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference in Australia")
I thought that she would be fine, but I sat next to her and did the fifth exercise. After I finished, she was fine.
At the age of 10, she woke me up and said that she felt very bad and was going to vomit. I told her to recite “Falun Dafa is good” and soon she felt better.
When she closed the door of a bookshelf, she used too much force and the glass fell out of the frame and hit her in the head. Bleeding profusely, she got frightened and started to cry.
I said, “You may choose to go to the hospital and we'll go right now, or you can recite the phrase 'Falun Dafa is good' as in the past.” She recited the phrase and within less than a minute, the bleeding stopped.
I cleaned her up and saw a 4-cm-long cut in her forehead. She complained about a bad headache. I reminded her to recite "Falun Dafa is good." The next day her headache was gone and she went to school as usual.
At the age of 11, she twisted her ankle and was sad that she could not participate in the events on Sports Day. A ligament had been severely injured, and her instep was swollen. We knew that she could not go and would also have trouble walking for a while.
I reminded her, “You have benefited a lot in the past. How come you forgot? If you sincerely recite 'Falun Dafa is good' and ask Master for help, you will be fine.”
When she got up the next morning, I saw that she was walking normally and asked her how she felt. She had actually forgotten the whole thing until I asked her. She checked her ankle and could not find anything wrong. Two days later, she broke the school record for the high jump.
While taking exams, she saw lotus flowers and did very well. She did well on her exams and during sports events and therefore was admitted into the gifted class at one of the best middle schools in our region.
My daughter has received many benefits because she believes that Falun Gong is good, while her father changed from a believer to a non-believer and then to a hater, bringing much trouble to his life.
