(Minghui.org) Mr. Qin Wei, a former art teacher at Bayi Middle School, was arrested for a seventh time on May 6, 2015, for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual practice being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party.
The police ransacked his home and used the seized items, including his computer, copier, and printer, as evidence to put Mr. Qin in administrative detention.
Mr. Qin's latest arrest took place around the politically sensitive date of April 25th - the 16th anniversary of Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful protest against the CCP persecution of the practice. More than 32 Beijing practitioners were arrested between April 14 and 20, and at least ten more, including Mr. Qin, were put in police custody in May.
The past 16 years have seen Mr. Qin repeatedly arrested for refusing to give up his belief. He was subjected to forced labor twice, and sentenced to prison once for a five-year term. Prior to his latest arrest, he was arrested in October 2012 and given forced labor over “security concerns” during the 18th Party Congress.
