(Minghui.org) Four hundred Falun Gong practitioners from Tainan, Taiwan, marched through the streets of Fucheng on May 9 to celebrate the 16th World Falun Dafa Day and share the beauty of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

The Divine Land Marching Band took the lead, followed by a model of the book Zhuan Falun and banners that read “Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day,” “Falun Dafa Is Good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” Practitioners dressed as celestial maidens greeted the spectators, and others demonstrated the exercises. The waist drum team and young practitioners from the Minghui school performed at the end.
Practitioners also passed out flyers and paper lotus flowers from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Colorful banners drew people's attention.
As did the celestial maidens.
People responded positively to the event. Mr. Li, the owner of a flower store, said, “I've seen many Falun Gong performances. I never tire of them.” His wife added, “The band is so unique. The musicians are full of energy but the music is calming. Although we don't practice Falun Gong, we support them, because of their positive impact on society.”
Mr. Hong, the police officer in charge of the event security, said that he admires the spirit of Falun Gong.
“Many of my police friends practice Falun Gong, so I know all about it. This is a very self-disciplined group, and it's popular in Taiwan.”
Many spectators condemned the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
Mr. Guo and Mr. Wang, two graduate students, said that they had spoken up on behalf of Falun Gong on an Internet forum.
“Several communist party members attacked Falun Gong on that forum. We could not let that go unchallenged. We spoke up for Falun Gong,” Mr. Guo said.
“It's great to see Falun Gong here today. Everybody in the procession looks happy and calm,” Mr. Wang said to Mr. Guo. “Maybe we should consider practicing Falun Gong.”
Mr. Guo said, “We heard about the incident in Taipei, where several communist party members attacked Falun Gong practitioners. I applaud the mayor of Taipei, who protects Falun Gong. We need such politicians in Taiwan.”
Mr. Chen Xianming, a retired businessman, also condemned the attack in Taipei.
“I always support Falun Gong,” he said. “They have protested the suppression peacefully. I admire their spirit. The attack in Taipei actually reflects the tolerance of of Falun Gong and the brutality of the communist party. Everyone should protest the violence for a better future for Taiwan.”
