1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xu Biju Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
Ms. Xu Biju was sentenced to four years in prison in the Qingbaijiang District Court on April 14, 2015.
2. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Yongmei and Ms. Wang Hui Arrested
Ms. Yang Yongmei and Ms. Wang Hui were arrested on April 18, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Yang's 590 yuan in cash was confiscated. They went on a hunger strike to protest the arrest and were taken to Jiaohe City Detention Center that night.
3. [Ruian City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Wang Liyun Missing
Ms. Wang Liyun was called to the Ruian Courthouse on April 15. She has not returned and may have been arrested.
4. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Yongqin and Ms. Zhang Xiaoping Detained
Police stopped Mr. Sun Yongqin and seized his car and keys on April 18. Over ten plainclothes officers barged into his home that night and handcuffed his wife Ms. Zhang Xiaoping and daughter. Officers confiscated over 100,000 yuan in cash, bank cards, computers, printers, etc. Ms. Zhang is being held in Dandong Detention Center, while Mr. Sun is being held at Donggang Detention Center.
5. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Qiong Repeatedly Harassed
More than ten officers from the police station and neighborhood center harassed Ms. Li Qiong on April 2, 2015. She has been repeatedly persecuted.
Ms. Li was detained for 15 days for practicing Falun Gong in public in June 1999.She was detained for 15 days for appealing for the right to practice Falun Gong in Beijing in December 1999. She was force-fed concentrated salted water.She was sent to a forced labor camp for two years in July 2000. Her term was extended for three and a half months.She was arrested in February 2004 and later sentenced to four years in prison.She has been harassed by Party officers during every Moon Festival since 2008.Her home was ransacked on April 6, 2015. Five artworks were confiscated.
6. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Cuifang and Ms. Fang Zongju Detained
Ms. Yang Cuifang and Ms. Fang Zongju were arrested on April 18, 2015, for handing out Falun Gong informational brochures. They are being detained.
