(Minghui.org) Ms. Huang Ling (黄玲) disappeared on March 3, 2015, and three days later, her husband, Mr. Hu Chuanlin (胡传林), also disappeared while looking for her.

Family members of this Falun Gong practitioner couple suspect that police arrested them as a result of escalated “security” during the National People's Congress in Beijing. Police in China typically round up large numbers of people around so-called “sensitive dates” such as the National People's Congress, hoping to “avoid embarrassment” for the Party by removing anyone who might be critical of the Party from the streets.

In fact, police from Sanjianfang Police Station and agents from Chaoyang District 610 Office had begun to monitor the couple, as well as other local practitioners, even before the conference started on March 3.

During the National People's Congress, Beijing police arrested and harassed Falun Gong practitioners across the city, including practitioners from Shijingshan District, Shunyi District, Yanqing Courty, Fengtai District, and Dongcheng District.

After the couple disappeared, their 16-year-old son was left alone at home. His current situation is very worrisome.

Below is a timeline of the couple's disappearance.

March 3, 2015: Ms. Huang Ling, an employee of Communication University of China, didn't return home after work. Her husband didn't find any message left by her.

March 4, 2015: Mr. Hu Chuanlin, a faculty member of Beijing Second Foreign Language Institute, took one day off to look for his wife, but without any success. On 9: 30 pm, two police officers knocked on his door, claiming they wanted to learn more information regarding Ms. Huang's disappearance. Mr. Hu didn't open the door.

March 5, 2015: Mr. Hu continued the search for his wife.

Having previously threatened to send Ms. Huang to a brainwashing center for her beliefs, the public safety at her workplace denied any knowledge of her whereabouts when questioned by Mr. Hu.

Mr. Hu next ran into a police officer at his own workplace, so he expressed his suspicion that his wife may well have been arrested. Instead of agreeing to help look for Ms. Huang, however, this officer threatened Mr. Hu: “I can arrest you just because what you've said!”

On 9:30 pm, another two police officers knocked on his door, also claiming to learn more information regarding his wife. Mr. Hu didn't open the door and told the police that he would go to the police station to talk to them the next morning.

March 6, 2015: Mr. Hu went to the police station but never returned home.
