(Minghui.org) I have thought about writing this testimony for a year. A very expensive excavator was stuck in a swamp for over 20 hours, and by all accounts, the engine should have failed. I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, but at this critical moment I thought of Falun Gong, and this is what happened.
I work for a construction company and received an urgent call on the morning of November 18, 2014. One of our excavators was stuck in the marsh, and I traveled the 30 miles to see what could be done.
It was completely sunk in the mud. I did not know whether it was salvageable. Even if I managed to dig it out, I doubted whether the engine would start. If it failed, it would be 30-ton junk metal. Should I even try to pull out this machine that cost 1.6 million yuan?
There was no cellphone signal at the site, so I drove 10 miles to arrange to have another excavator come. For some reason, I thought of Falun Gong out of the blue, and prayed for help. At that moment, the image of Mr. Li Hongzhi, Master of Falun Gong, appeared before me.
It took over six hours to remove the excavator. The ground water was still swelling, and we had to work fast. Theoretically, an engine soaked in water and mud for 20 hours should fail to start, but we had no other choice. I instructed the driver to climb into the cab and check the dashboard. He reported that all indicators were normal. We were shocked!
My mind was calm and I made a risky decision. I instructed the operator of the other excavator to transport me to the stuck machine, removed the air filter, and ordered the driver to start the engine.
It started right up. I shouted, “Quickly drive!” He was an experienced driver, and drove it out right away.
We saved the excavator from a hopeless situation. Witnesses complimented the high quality of the excavator that was made in the US, but I had a different feeling. I shared my story with a friend who is a Falun Gong practitioner. He said, “Was it really the quality of the excavator? You thought about Master of Falun Gong at that critical moment, and Master helped you!”
It was true! I practice Buddhism and normally would have prayed to Buddha, but instead I thought of Falun Gong, and believed that Master Li could help me. I am sincerely respectful of Falun Gong, grateful to Master, and wanted to share my story.
