Additional Persecution News from China – March 27, 2015 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 10 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Anshan, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Gaiqing and Son Sentenced

Ms. Zhou Gaiqing and her son Mr. Meng Xiangjun were each sentenced to 3 1/2 years by the Tiexie Court on March 17, 2014.

2. [Taiyuan, Shanxi Province] Mr. Cheng Yongyue Sentenced

Mr. Cheng Yongyue was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months. He has appealed his sentence at a higher court.

3. [Kaifeng, Henan Province] Ms. Chen Xianmei Sentenced

Ms. Chen Xianmei, 66, was arrested by security staff on November 3, 2014, for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in a residential quarters of the Electricity Industry Bureau. The Jinming Court authorities sentenced her to 3 1/2 years in prison on March 19, 2015. She has appealed her sentence to a higher court.

4. [Binzhou, Shandong Province] Ms. Lin Hongfang Detained

Ms. Lin Hongfang from the Bincheng District was arrested by officers from the Shizhong Police Station and taken to the Binzhou Detention Center on March 25, 2015.

5. [Tianjin] Ms. Cong Peishan and Sister Arrested

Ms. Cong Peishan and her elder sister were arrested by officers from the Wangdingdi Police Station on March 18, 2015, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Their home was ransacked. They have been released.

6. [Jinhua, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Wu Yanjiao Detained

Ms. Wu Yanjiao was taken to the Jinhua Detention Center in mid-February, 2015

Ms. Bai Jinxia from Beipiao was arrested by officers from the Beipiao Domestic Security Division and the Xiguanying Police Station on March 26, 2015. She is now in the Xidayingzi Detention Center.

8. [Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province] Mr. Chen Mou Arrested

Mr. Chen Mou from Wujiagou, Zhuolu County, was arrested on March 23, 2015, by Zhao Zhongguo, Zhuolu Domestic Security Division chief, and other officers, at his home. He was taken to the Zhuolu Police Department. He has since been released.

9. [Linfen, Shanxi Province] Ms. Yao Linjuan Arrested

Ms. Mao Liujuan was arrested on March 26, 2016.

10. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Ms. Ren Guilan and Ms. Zhang Aihua Detained

Ms. Zhang Aihua and Ms. Ren Guilan from Gaomo Township were arrested on March 24, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Yi County. They are being held in the Yi Detention Center.

11. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Arrest Warrant Issued for Ms. Ren Xiuqin

Ms. Ren Xiuqin from the Shenbei New District was arrested on March 12, 2015. An arrest warrant was issued on March 12, 2015, by the Shenbei New District Police Department Domestic Security Division authorities.
