Additional Persecution News from China – March 25, 2015 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 5 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Liaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Suzhen Taken to Prison

During the one year Ms. Wang Suzhen was held in the Liaoyang City Detention Center, she was twice taken to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison. Both times the prison refused admit her due to high blood pressure, which was as high as 220-240. In the end, without notifying her family, she was taken to the prison a third time and was admitted on March 12, 2015.

2. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chu Lianrong Has a Mental Collapse as a Result of Severe Abuse

Mr. Chu Zhenqi, Ms. Chu Lianrong, Mr. Chu Lianhua, and Ms. Wang Guozhen from the Fengning Manchu Autonomous County were arrested on the evening of December 13, 2014 for hanging banners that conveyed facts about Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa).

On the afternoon of March 24, 2015 Ms. Chu Lianrong was brought home by her younger brother. She had suffered a nervous breakdown and had to be held by two people.

3. [Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Jiang Hantong, 71, Mr. Wang Shixian, 67, and Mr. Wang Guoyan, in his 60s, were arrested after midnight on March 20, 2015 after they distributed information about Falun Gong the previous night.

4. [Yuncheng County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shufang Displaced

Three police officers broke into Ms. Zhang Shufang's home and ransacked the place on March 23, 2015. When they found a copy of Zhuan Falun, the officers wanted to arrest her. Ms. Zhang struggled to break free. She was forced to leave town.

5. [Anda City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Xiuzhi and Husband Harassed and Forced to Leave Home

Police officers from the Liming Police Station went to Ms. Zhao Xiuzhi's home in the Lusejiayuan residential community and harassed her. They took Ms. Zhao's and her husband's IDs, and threatened her, saying that the police chief was looking for her. The couple was forced to leave home.

6. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhao Xiaodong and Ms. Li Yaping Remain in Custody

Ms. Zhao Xiaodong, 36, from the Jingan District, and Ms. Li Yaping, 59, from the Changning District, were arrested and taken to the Changning District Police Station for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on the afternoon of February 28, 2015. Both practitioners were subsequently taken to the Changning District Detention Center.

7. [Beijing] Mr. Zhang Chunlong Arrested

Mr. Zhang Chunlong was arrested in March 2015.

8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Hou Baoqin Held in Detention Center

Ms. Hou Baoqin was arrested while distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs on March 12, 2015. After 10 days in custody, she was placed in criminal detention. She is being held in the Pudong Detention Center in Jimo City.

9. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Guihong Arrested

Ms. Yang Guihong was arrested by officers from the Chengdong Police Station while telling people about Falun Gong in Shimen Township on March 20, 2015. She was later taken to the Zhongfang Detention Center.
