Additional Persecution News from China – April 14, 2015 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 province. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 10 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Qingxiang Sentenced

Ms. Liu Qingxiang was sentenced to three years in prison by the Qinghe District Court on April 10.

2. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Ms. Gao Changyun Sentenced

Ms. Gao Changyun was sentenced to three years in prison

3. [Shanghai] Ms. Huang Qiaoqin Sentenced

Ms. Huang Qiaoqin was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison on April 13.

4. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Aifeng Held in Jinan Prison

Ms. Dong Aifeng was illegally sentenced to three years and three months imprisonment in December 2014. During the appeal, the Yantai Intermediate Court upheld the original sentence. Ms. Dong was sent to Jinan Prison in March 2015.

5. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiurong Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiurong was arrested by Qianjiaying Town police on April 13, 2015, for distributing Shen Yun DVDs. She is held at Fengnan Detention Center.

6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qin Xiufen and Ms. Qin Xiuhui Arrested

Ms. Qin Xiufen and Ms. Qin Xiuhui went to Tangshan to visit relatives on April 13, 2015. They were arrested in Jinzhou Railway Station, and are now being held in Jinzhou Detention Center.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Peng Luqi Detained

Ms. Peng Luqi was arrested on April 10, 2015, for using paper currency with printed information about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She is being detained for 15 days.

8. [Tuanfeng County, Hubei Province] Over Ten Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

More than ten Falun Gong practitioners from Tuanfeng Town were arrested at Ms. Hong Taorong's home on April 10, 2015, while they were watching Falun Gong video lectures. Five elderly practitioners were released. Mr. Yu Chunhua, Ms. Ling Li, Ms. Wu Fengxian, Ms. Wang Yansheng, and Ms. Ye Juhua were detained for 10 days.

9. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Huiying Imprisoned

Ms. Liu Huiying has been transferred to Liaoning Province Women's Prison.

10. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. You Yunsheng and Ms. Li Suzhen Arrested

Mr. You Yunsheng and his wife Ms. Li Suzhen were arrested on March 30, 2015, when they talked about the persecution of Falun Gong to others. Mr. You was tortured by officer Guo Hongtang of the Domestic Security Division. When his blood pressure jumped to 220, he was rejected by the detention center and returned home. Ms. Li was sent to Weifang Detention Center.
