Additional Persecution News from China – April 10, 2015 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

The Xinshi Court authorities plan to place Ms. Pan Xiuhua, Ms. Wang Shilian and Ms. Cui Demei on trial on April 10, 2015.

2. [Leshan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wan Shuhua Detained

Ms. Wan Shuhua, in her 60s, from Wutongqiao was arrested by officers from the Qiaogou Police Station on April 7, 2015 for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts 2015 DVDs. She was taken to the Wutongqiao Detention Center.

3. [Guiyang, Guizhou Provine] Ms. Lang Dafen Detained Again

Ms. Lang Dafen and Ms. Chen Zhengping were arrested for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on July 28, 2013. They were held in the Nanming Detention Center where Ms. Lang was tortured until she passed out and was in critical condition. She was released on bail for medical treatment. However, she was taken to the Nanming Detention Center again on April 2, 2015 by agents from the Fuyuan Community Committee and the Youzhajie Police Station.

4. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Yancai Harassed and Arrested

Mr. Li Yancai from Hushitai Town was twice harassed in early April, 2015, by officers from the Hushitai Police Station. They seized his Falun Gong books and the calenders displayed in his shop with messages about Falun Gong written on them. They took him to the Hushitai Police Station and interrogated him for 3 hours before releasing him.

5. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qiu Tieyan Being Held

Ms. Qiu Tieyan from Hushitai Town is still being held in the Shenyang Detention Center. She was arrested and harassed many times. Her husband and child feel powerless to help her, as they fear the Chinese Communist Party.

6. [Gongan, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Daoxiu's Personal Belongings Seized

Ms. Huang Daoxiu, 73, is from Mengjiaxi Town. Two officers from the Mengjiaxi Police Station barged into her home on March 24, 2015 and rummaged through her chests and cupboards. They seized several copies of Zhuan Falun, Minghui Weekly and informational materials about Falun Gong. Two officers returned to Ms. Huang's home the next day and ordered her to sign the list of items they confiscated. She refused.

The same officers barged into Ms. Huang's home last year, in April. They took 4 copies of Falun Gong books and over 10 copies of Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs.

7. [Daqing, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Song Shuqing Arrested

When Ms. Song Shuqing came home from work on April 7, 2015, a plainclothes officer, who had been waiting in front of her home, snatched her key, opened her home and searched it. The officer then arrested Ms. Song.

8. [Pengzhou, Sichuan] Ms. You Quanfang Arrested and Her Home Ransacked

Ms. You Quanfang from Tianpeng Town was arrested at her workplace by officers from the local police station on April 9, 2015. Her home was ransacked.

9. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Yan, Ms. Li Guiqin, Ms. Sun Yajun, Ms. Zhang Yuxiang and Mr. Qian Yujiu from Jiutai District were arrested by officers from the Mushihe Police Station and the Changchun Police Department on April 7, 2015 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Mushihe Town. The four female practitioners are being held in the Changchun No. 3 Detention Center in Shuangyang District. Mr. Qian is being held in the Jiutai Detention Center.

10. [Leshan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Shuqun Detained

Ms. Yang Shuqun was taken to the Minjianglu Police Station on April 8, 2015. She is being held in the Leshan Detention Center.

11. [Shanghai] Ms. Min Xiujuan Detained

Ms. Min Xiujuan from Jiading District was deceived by 610 Office agents into going to the 610 Office on April 3, 2015. She is now detained there and will be held for 15 days.

12. [Wuyi, Zhejiang Province] Practitioners Held in Brainwashing Center

Several practitioners were taken to a brainwashing center on April 9, 2015. It was confirmed that Ms. Gong Gongmin, Ms. Ni Xiaomei and Ms. Zhou Lianghua were among those detained.

Mr. Gong was taken to the Jinhua Brainwashing Center in June 2014. Ms. Zhou has been held in brainwashing centers and forced labor camps many times.
