Additional Persecution News from China – April 11, 2015 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Taizhen Sentenced

Ms. Yang Taizhen was arrested and taken to the Naxi District Detention Center by officers from the Naxi District Domestic Security Division on October 21, 2014. She was tried and sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Naxi District Court on the morning of March 11, 2015.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Yan, Ms. Li Guiqin, Ms. Sun Yajun, Ms. Zhang Yuxiang, and Mr. Qian Yujiu were arrested by officers from the Mushihe Town Police Station and the city police department on April 7, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Qian is detained at the Jiutai Detention Center and the other four practitioners are at the Shuangyang District No. 3 Detention Center.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Xiancheng on Hunger Strike in Prison

Mr. Zhou Xiancheng, 75, from Macheng City, was arrested by officers from the Pantang Town Police Station in Xinzhou District, Wuhan City on March 5, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He has been held at the Xinzhou District Detention Center and deprived of family visits. He is holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

4. [Huaibin County, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Xueyou Detained

Mr. Liu Xueyou was arrested at home by officers including deputy director Song Guangming from the Langan Town Police Station on the afternoon of April 9, 2015. He is detained at a detention center. He was sentenced to a three-year prison term in 2005.

5. [Yu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Du Yulan and Another Practitioner Detained

Ms. Du Yulan and another practitioner from Xiheying Town in Yu County, were arrested on the afternoon of April 9, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked their homes. They are detained in Yu County.

6. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Geng Lihua’s Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Geng Lihua, from Qiqihar City, was arrested by two plainclothes officers in July 2014. Her whereabouts is unknown.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xiao Shuling and Elderly Practitioner Arrested

Ms. Xiao Shuling and an elderly practitioner were arrested on the morning of April 10, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Xiao is still detained but the elderly practitioner was released.

8. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. You Quanfang and Ms. Xiao Danfeng Arrested

Ms. You Quanfang and Ms. Xiao Danfeng were arrested at work by officers from the Lijiang Police Station on April 9, 2015. The police ransacked their homes.

9. [Chongqing] Two Practitioners' Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Huang Qunfeng and her sister Ms. Huang Li were arrested by officers from the Changtan Town Police Station in Wanzhou District on April 5, 2015. Their whereabouts is unknown.

10. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Xiaoxia Arrested

Ms. Wang Xiaoxia was arrested on April 10, 2015, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. The police ransacked her home.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Ma Yumin Detained

Ms. Ma Yumin was arrested by officers from the Yuelong Police Station on April 10, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at the Xiqing District No. 1 Detention Center in Tianjin.

12. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Jine and Ms. Li Shuang Detained

Ms. Yang Jine, from Jinshan District, Shanghai and Ms. Li Shuang, from Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, were arrested on April 2, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated computers, printers, and Falun Gong books. They are detained at the Jinshan Detention Center.

Ms. He Jinfang, 42, was arrested and taken to the Yunmeng County Detention Center on April 9, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Ms. Song Shuqing was arrested by officers from the Taikang Domestic Security Division including deputy captain Ma Baigang, on the afternoon of April 7, 2015. The police confiscated two recorders. She is still detained at the Daodong Detention Center in Taikang.
