Additional Persecution News from China – April 5, 2015 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Suying and Her Husband Mr. Liu Xiwei Sentenced to Prison

1. [Jing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Suying and Her Husband Mr. Liu Xiwei Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Sun Suying was sentenced to seven a seven-year prison term, and her husband Mr. Liu to a one-year term, by the Jing County Court. The couple has appealed.

2. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wang Shuhua, Ms. Liu Yulian, and Ms. Li Meiling were arrested during the winter of 2014. Li Juan and other officers from the Liaxi City Court went to the Pudong Detention Center in Jimo City for trials held there on March 5, 2015. The three practitioners were each sentenced to a three-year prison term. They were taken to the Jinan Women's Prison on March 19. Only Ms. Liu was admitted. Ms. Li and Ms. Wang were taken back to the detention center.

3. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Hou Xueling and Ms. Luan Xia Detained

Ms. Hou Xueling and Ms. Luan Xia were arrested on April 3, 2015, for distributing information about the persecution of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa). Both practitioners are being held in the Laizhou Detention Center.

4. [Lianjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Su Shuixian Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Su Shuixian was taken to the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Center on April 1, 2015.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Officials from the Dongsheng and Dongzhan neighborhood committees and the Jilin Street Police Station broke into Ms. Fu Yanfei's home on March 14, 2015. Mr. Gu Hongwei; his wife, Ms. Chen Liyan; Ms. Fu Yanfei; and a young practitioner, Ms. Zhang, were arrested. Mr. Gu is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center. Ms. Fu is being held in the Changchun Detention Center No. 3.

6. [Pingquan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Guirong and Ms. Xie Guohua Arrested

Ms. Xie Guohua, in her fifties, and Ms. Liu Guirong, 74, both from Shuangqiaozi Village, Pingquan Town, were arrested on April 3, 2015, by the Pingquan County Domestic Security Division, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Liu was later released. Ms. Xie was taken to the county detention center, where she was held for 15 days. Her home was ransacked.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Jin'e and Ms. Li Shuang Detained

Ms. Yang Jin'e and Ms. Li Shuang from the Jinshan District were arrested on the afternoon of April 2, 2015, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in the Shihua area. The police confiscated computers, printers, and books from their homes. Both practitioners are being held in the Jinshan Detention Center.

8. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Huang Zuolan Arrested

Officers from the Daxindian Town Police Station broke into Ms. Huang Zuolan's home and arrested her on the morning of April 4, 2015. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, a printer, and about 5,000 yuan in currency bills with facts about Falun Gong printed on them. Ms. Huang returned home the same day.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Wenge Detained

Ms. Wang Wenge from Dongxihu Breeding Farm was followed on March 23, 2015 by plainclothes officers for talking with two elderly ladies about Falun Gong. The three were arrested and taken to the Hanxin Police Station in the Jiang'an District. The elderly ladies were released that evening. Ms. Wang was taken to the Erzhigou Women's Re-education Center.

10. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Zhimin Detained for Five Days

Ms. Zhang Zhimin from the Cuiping District was arrested by plainclothes officers on the afternoon of March 11, 2015, and taken to the Gongyuan Police Station, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Dayi Detention Center and held for five days.

11. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Lin Detained

Ms. Sun Lin was arrested on March 21, 2015. She was taken to the Qingdao Detention Center No. 3 on March 31.

12. [Xin County, Henan Province] Mr. Hu Liangsheng and Ms. Wan Yun Detained

Mr. Hu Liangsheng, 45, and Ms. Wan Yun from Shunhe Town, Macheng City, Hubei Province, went to Xin County to talk to people about Falun Gong. They were arrested on March 28, 2015, and taken to the Sidian Police Station in Xin County. The police ransacked their homes on March 30, and confiscated computers, cash, Falun Dafa books, and a brand new motorcycle. Both practitioners are being held in the Xinyang Detention Center No. 1 in Henan Province.
