(Minghui.org) I am an elderly Falun Dafa practitioner who sends multimedia mobile phone messages to those who are persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. I want them to know what Falun Dafa is, to understand that it is a crime to persecute it, and to take responsibility for their actions.
Someone called me back after hearing my message about the recent Chinese Communist Party policy requiring judges, police officers, and prosecutors to be held responsible for how cases are handled "for their lifetimes." We've used this policy effectively since November 2014 to remind people that “doing their job” doesn't free them from accountability.
He did not sound friendly on the phone, and he asked for my name and where I lived. I told him that I had called him at my own expense and had risked my safety to tell him the facts.
His attitude improved somewhat, and I told him that I got his phone number from a list of those involved in the persecution. I reminded him that since ancient times, our ancestors instructed us that “good is rewarded, evil is punished.” I told him that Falun Dafa, which is based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, is practiced in over 100 counties by over 100 million people worldwide. The only place it is persecuted is in China.
I let him know that the Chinese Communist Party staged the self-immolation on Tiananmen Square and asked, "Have you ever seen police officers patrolling with fire blankets? Who would notify the TV station before a 'self immolation?'"
I explained that, if a person belongs to the Party, he or she will be implicated along with it, so quitting the Party and its affiliated organizations would be a very good idea.
He interrupted and said that he was responsible for handling Falun Dafa related cases. I told him that did not matter, that he still had choice: to be kind or evil. I told him, “Whatever you do, do not persecute Dafa practitioners. Justice will ultimately prevail.”
He then asked me how to quit the Party. I told him I could help him and that he could use an alias as long as he was sincere. Or he could write his declaration on a monetary bill and spend it. He said that he would do that.
When he started to thank me, I told him to thank Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa.
I later checked online and realized that the person I talked to was the secretary of the municipal Political and Legal Affairs Committee. I believe he made a righteous choice for his future and will no longer persecute Dafa practitioners.
