Additional Persecution News from China – April 9, 2015 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, at least 14 were illegally arrested, and the whereabouts unknown of one is unknown.

1. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Jingliang's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Zhang Jingliang, sentenced to a 13-year prison term in 2002, was released from Mudanjiang Prison on April 8, 2015. However, he was immediately arrested on his return home by officers from the Dongshan District and Hegang City 610 Offices. His whereabouts is unknown.

2. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wu Guorong Sentenced

Mr. Wu Guorong was arrested by officers from the Jude Police Station on September 16, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Recently sentenced to five years in prison, he is now in the No. 2 Detention Center.

3. [Lanxi County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Peng Yunzhou and Mr. Li Dekui Arrested

Mr. Peng Yunzhou and Mr. Li Dekui were arrested at Mr. Peng's pump repair shop by secretary Shao Yuquan, security director Liu Yahui, and captain Chen Baiwen from Linshen Village in Yulin Town, Lanxi County, on the morning of April 8, 2015.

4. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Five Practitioners Arrested, Three Detained

Ms. Pan Xiaoqin, Mr. Pan Qingning, Ms. Xie Lihua, Ms. Tang Jingmei, and Mr. Liu Zongyu were arrested by officers from the Nanjing Domestic Security Division on March 24, 2015. The police ransacked their homes. Ms. Pan and Mr. Liu were released, but the other three are being held in the Nanjing City Detention Center.

5. [Rushan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Geng Congyu Arrested

Ms. Geng Congyu was arrested by officers from the Rushan City Domestic Security Division on April 7, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Guo Qingan Imprisoned Beyond His Term

Mr. Guo Qingan was not released from Jiamusi Prison in April 2015 at the end of his term.

7. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Ji Jie Detained

Ms. Ji Jie, a vocational teacher in Yangqiao Town, was arrested by officers from the Tanpeng Town Police Station in early April 2015 for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is in the Fuyang City Detention Center.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Yu Yonglan and her mother-in-law were arrested on April 7, 2015. They are in the local brainwashing center.

9. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Xibi and Mr. Zhang Huaming Sentenced

Ms. Wu Xibi and Mr. Zhang Huaming were tried in the Anju District Court on March 6, 2015. They were each sentenced to four years in prison on March 26, 2015.

Ms. Wang Ying was arrested at home by officers from the Jinzhou City Anti-Cult Division on April 8, 2015.

Ms. Shao Yun was arrested on March 2, 2015. The police confiscated approximately 100 Falun Gong books, three computers, a printer, and other items.

Ms. Liang Yilin was arrested and taken to the Quantang Police Station in Liaobu Town on March 14, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

She was transferred to the 29th Ward of the Shangqiao Detention Center in Dongguan City the next day. She was shackled and her mouth was covered. She's been given only two radish slices every day and is now emaciated.

13. [Beijing] Mr. Xu Kun Sentenced

Mr. Xu Kun was tried and sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Haidian Court on the morning of April 8, 2015.

Mr. Xiang Kelin, arrested on March 18, 2015, is being held in the Jingshan Detention Center.

Ms. Li Hong, 43, was monitored for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the Internet. She was arrested by officers from the Zhonghualu Police Station in Ganjingzi District on October 30, 2014. She is now in the Yaojia No. 1 Detention Center in Dalian.
