(Minghui.org) A series of activities were held by Falun Gong practitioners at the city stadium in Inuyama, Japan, from February 27 to March 1. The purpose was to raise awareness about the peaceful spiritual practice and the persecution it faces in China.
Inuyama Castle, near the city stadium, is a famous tourist spot with 500 years of history. Practitioners held banners reading “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” in Chinese, Japanese, and English. They also displayed photos showing how Falun Gong has flourished in all corners of the world, yet remains persecuted in China. Many people encouraged them to keep up the good work.
A senior Japanese gentleman read the displays for a long time. He said that he had seen Shen Yun in America, and enjoyed the performance immensely.
Five young Chinese men stopped by. They were on a business trip, and were surprised to see Falun Gong at this tourist spot. A practitioner told them about the persecution, and other crimes that the Communist Party has committed. The young men were shocked, and all took the opportunity to quit the Communist Youth League, believing it will bring them a brighter future.
Some people were interested in learning the exercises. A group of ladies did the first set of exercises five times. Feeling great afterwards, they asked where they could continue the practice.
A group of local Chinese folks passed by at the same time. They all work in Inuyama. Practitioners told them that Falun Gong teaches the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and has spread in more than 100 countries. However, it has been persecuted in China for almost 16 years.
A gentleman said that he would find a copy of Zhuan Falun, and learn about Falun Gong in detail. His friend said: “I admire Falun Gong. You guys are everywhere in the world, telling people the truth. I really admire your spirit.”
