(Minghui.org) Although Mr. Yang Zheng, 39, was severely injured from being tortured, he is being made to do slave labor in Jidong Prison. He was illegally sentenced to five years in prison on September 5, 2012.
Mr. Yang, a Falun Gong practitioner, has been tortured by inmates almost every day. They've broken his nose and severely injured his legs. He's been given no medical treatment and still has difficulty walking. He is not spared having to do forced labor producing clothing.
Mr. Yang's family has sent him 300 yuan for living expenses every month, but he's never seen any of it.
Mr. Yang was illegally arrested on February 25, 2012, followed by a secret trial on August 10, 2012. The courtroom was reportedly packed with more than 120 police officers and 40 bailiffs. Plainclothes officers and police vehicles surrounded the courthouse, preventing Falun Gong practitioners or relatives from attending the trial.
Mr. Yang previously served a two-year term in Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp beginning on August 18, 2008. He was tortured, subjected to brainwashing, denied medical treatment, and made to do forced labor.
