(Minghui.org) I am a 48-year-old farmer who has experienced the dishonesty of people in power.
In many villages, those in power appropriate ponds, wells, and productive lands, claiming that they are needed for the development of the area. The farmers are compensated far less than the value of their property. For example, we were told the land in our village was needed for a shopping mall, and the entire population was forced to move.
When corrupt local officials and profiteers showed up with over 300 armed police officers in June 2014, I was not at home. They ordered everyone to move. It was a rainy day. The police officers broke into farmers' homes and cleaned them out.
Everything was wet because of the rain, and my heart felt heavy. Then I saw that the cabinet that had a Dafa amulet inside had not been removed. The Dafa amulet was in a safe place and so was my bank book.
The amulet was given to me by a woman in a neighboring village a year ago. She told me the facts about Falun Gong at that time. She explained that Falun Gong is a high-level cultivation practice in the Buddha School, that it teaches people to be good and benefits those that practice or support it.
She told me that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is corrupt and has committed unspeakable crimes ever since it came to power. She said that the day will come when the CCP will be eliminated and suggested that I could benefit if I quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, which I did. She asked me to remember "Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good" and to recite it as often as possible. I have done so ever since and have benefited in many ways.
Now I fully understand the facts about the practice and I've experienced that Falun Gong really is good. I was a CCP group leader but quit that position. I will never again be associated with anything that has to do with the CCP.
