(Minghui.org) After her marriage, Ms. Yi Ping migrated from Shanghai to Japan in 1993. Although she was able to integrate well with her new environment and neighbors, her insomnia, which had plagued her since childhood, became worse, impacting her mental and physical health.
Over the years, she attempted to cure her condition through medication and prayers, but to no avail.
Fortunately, Falun Gong had already spread from mainland China to more than one hundred countries and regions in the world, including Japan. As a result Ms. Yi learned about Falun Gong, and her cultivation of the practice marked the start of a brilliant new chapter in her life.
Mental and Physical Distress From Severe Insomnia
Ms. Yi suffered from a debilitating fear of being left alone since childhood. As her family was large, she rarely found herself alone.
However, after her marriage, she was often left alone. To cope, she kept the lights on constantly and took sleeping pills at night. As she encountered an invisible pressure on her body, she seemed to suffocate and was able to only drift into a half-asleep state. She prayed for help, but this was also not very successful.
In addition to having insomnia, Ms. Yi also suffered from severe constipation, which required her to take increased doses of different medications. She also suffered from irregular heart palpitations, and as a result, she had to keep her heart medication with her at all times. Her various conditions also caused her to suffer from auditory and visual hallucinations.
The Comfort of Sleeping with Ease
Ms. Yi's sister invited her to Tokyo to watch Shen Yun Performing Arts in 2012. Ms. Yi traveled from Niigata to Tokyo, arriving one day in advance. Her sister took this opportunity to introduce her to Falun Gong and to teach her the exercises. Ms. Yi studied the movements seriously, and even managed to sit in the full lotus position for a long time. Encouraged by her progress, Ms. Yi's sister encouraged her to cultivate further.
While sleeping at her sister’s home that night, Ms.Yi saw something that looked like a white dome enveloping her entire body. “Amazingly,” she said, “my fear of not being able to sleep was cured, and I slept peacefully that night.”
For the first time since her youth, Ms. Yi was able to enjoy a good night’s rest with a peaceful mind. After watching the Shen Yun performance, her heart was touched and she decided to cultivate in Falun Gong.
Receiving the Benefits of Falun Gong
Ms. Yi discovered that she no longer needed any of her medications or sleeping pills.
“Since I have been practicing Falun Gong, I have been able to sleep soundly every day,” Ms. Yi said. “I feel comfortable both physically and mentally. I could never have imagined that after a decade of suffering from insomnia, constipation, and heart trouble that it could be resolved so easily.”
“We should let more people know about this wonderful practice,” she added. “I obtained the Fa late. In terms of Fa-study, doing the exercises, sending forth righteous thoughts, and clarifying the facts to save sentient beings, I need to make an effort to catch up.”
Hence, she goes out every day from her home in Tokyo to the city’s tourist attractions in Ginza. She distributes informational materials, clarifies the facts about Falun Gong and its persecution, and encourages Chinese people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
Helping Fellow Chinese to Quit the CCP
Ms. Yi was at the Ginza tourist site a few months ago talking to a group of Chinese tourists. Although, a young female tour guide directed her group to avoid Ms.Yi, she remained calm and continued to speak to a Chinese couple. “The products here are genuine, so feel free to buy any branded goods you like,” she told them. “The food here is also safe, unlike in mainland China where fake goods or tainted foods are common.
“By spreading false and evil propaganda, the CCP encourages conflict and instigates wicked people to commit sins, resulting in corruption, immorality, tainted food and counterfeit goods. The CCP has harmed many Chinese citizens since taking power.”
Her listeners nodded their heads and sighed in agreement.
The couple agreed to quit the CCP with aliases. Even the tour guide had a change of heart and used an alias to quit the Party's Youth League and Young Pioneers.
Ms. Yi (below) also participated in Hong Kong’s “Spread the Truth to Stop the Persecution” street procession” on January 17, 2015. She distributed informational materials and clarified the facts to residents along the parade route.
One of the men she approached said that he had been living in Hong Kong for the past 10 years, and he knew about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Yi first asked if he had ever joined any CCP organizations. The man replied, "No, I hate the CCP! I know that Falun Gong is good, and I understand the evil CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.”
However, since he joined the Young Pioneers when he was a child, Ms. Yi helped him withdraw with the alias “Peace.”
He thanked her and promised to recite with his heart, "Falun Gong is good; Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is good!”
