(Minghui.org) More than 300,000 Chinese tourists visited the Ruifeng Night Market in Kaohsiung – the busiest tourist spot in the city – during the first five days of the Chinese New Year. From February 19 to 23, local Falun Gong practitioners took this opportunity to reach out to their mainland neighbors and introduce the essence and beauty of Falun Gong.
Every evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., practitioners staged waist drum performances and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. They also set up display boards and handed out informational materials. Many Chinese tourists were happy to receive the materials and many published their withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.

Mr. Lin from Taipei was happy to see practitioners in Kaohsiung. “Falun Dafa is good. There is no communist party interference in Kaohsiung,” he said. “In Taipei, however, a few communist party members often harass Falun Gong at tourist spots. They are mean and violent. In contrast, Falun Gong is peaceful and compassionate.”
Many people stopped to read the informational materials.
A gentleman from Liaoning, China, told practitioners that his trip to Taiwan had really been worth it. “I have encountered Falun Gong practitioners everywhere in Taiwan. I've learned a lot, and was surprised by what I heard,” Mr. Lin said. “I have given a lot of thought to the truth that I never heard in China.”
I am glad to see your performances here, which are full of righteous energy,” Mr. Lin remarked. He decided to quit the Communist Youth League, and asked practitioners to help him publish his official announcement.
Mr. Li, a tour leader from China, encourages his clients to take Falun Gong materials. “Take this opportunity to learn the truth. Read as much as possible, because you cannot find this information in China,” he tells them.
Mr. Li said to a practitioner, “We have traveled all around Taiwan, and have seen Falun Gong everywhere. Your booths have become the new tourist destinations in Taiwan. I've watched you carefully and read your materials. The reality is totally different than what I was told in China.”
Mr. Yang and his family enjoyed the waist drum performance. He said to a practitioner, “What Falun Gong said about the communist party is all true. It is a very corrupt political party.”
“I used to think that Falun Gong was involved in politics too. But today, I changed my mind. I've watched you guys for an hour, and talked to a few practitioners for a long time. You have answered many questions of mine. Now I realize that Falun Gong is not interested in political power. You are a group of nice people, who practice cultivation. And you all look healthy,” he added.
A gentleman from Tianjin was surprised to see so many Falun Gong practitioners at the night fair. “Had I not come overseas, I would not have imagined that so many people practice Falun Gong. This is a great practice. I now feel that I was deceived by the communist party's propaganda,” he said to a practitioner.
This gentleman and his friends asked the practitioners to publish their withdrawals from the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers, two affiliates of the Chinese Communist Party.
