(Minghui.org) I would like to share a few stories about the police officers I've met as I've told people the facts about Falun Dafa.

My Breakfast Is Paid For

One morning after I had been telling people the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution in the city square, I went to a restaurant for breakfast. Two middle-aged men with briefcases also sat down at my table to eat.

“Good morning!” I said. “Are you on your way to work?” They told me they were on a business trip and that they worked for the police department.

I wanted to tell them about Falun Dafa, so I looked for a good way to begin. I noticed that one of them was wearing a string of prayer beads on his wrist, so I asked if he was a Buddhist. He smiled and said, “I believe in Taoism.” I asked for his opinion on Falun Dafa, and he said he was not against it.

I told them some basic facts about Falun Dafa, that it was of the Buddhist school and was extraordinarly good at keeping people fit and enhancing moral standards. I added that what was shown on TV about the practice was false, and I warned them not to believe any of it or to participate in the persecution. They listened attentively and agreed with what I said.

They finished their eating before I could tell them about quitting the Party and its affiliated organizations. After they left, the owner of the restaurant told me that they had paid for my breakfast. I raced out to thank them, but they were gone.

A Policeman Quits the CCP

As I was eating breakfast another time, a man sat down at the table across from me. I thought that he must be there to hear the truth, because he did not pick any of the three other empty tables. I said, “You're up early! Do you have to go to work?” He said he did and that he worked at the police station next door.

Since he was a police officer, I first talked about other things, such as if his job was demanding and whether or not he liked surfing the Internet. I then asked him if he knew how to break through the Internet firewall. He said he didn't, so I told him he should give it a try. I told him he could then see the outside world—because a lot of information was not available on Chinese websites.

From there, I brought Falun Dafa into the conversation. I told him that it was practiced in more than 100 countries and has benefited millions of people. I added that it was very popular around the world, but persecuted only in China. He did not say anything.

I told him that, as a police officer, he must not participate in the persecution. If he treated Falun Dafa and its practitioners with kindness, he would be rewarded. He said he had never persecuted any practitioners, and I wished him well.

I began to talk about quitting the Party and its affiliated organizations and asked him if he was a member of the CCP. He said he was. I told him why people need to quit and about the current wave of quitting. In the end, he agreed to quit and gave me his name. He told me to be careful and to be safe.

The Police Were Respectful

One day, I took some Shen Yun discs and went out with a fellow practitioner to talk to people. We handed out the discs and clarified the facts. When we were giving the last disc to one lady, a police officer and two men with a camera approached us from behind. The officer intercepted the disc and said, “Let me take a look at what's on it.” A police vehicle came and took us to the station.

We refused to answer any questions or to give our names or addresses. I sent forth righteous thoughts while the other practitioner clarified the facts. When the police officer took her to a separate room to record her information, she refused to cooperate and explained the facts to the officer. Not able to get anything out of her, the officer had to write up the document himself. He then called the Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office.

The 610 Office head said to the other practitioner, “I called your neighborhood committee and told them to pick you up. They will be here shortly.” He said to me, “Nobody from your workplace is available to come get you. I will call them again.”

The person from the neighborhood committee arrived and said hello to the other practitioner with a smile, and then said, “Let's go.” The police officer wanted the other practitioner to sign the document he had written, but the practitioner refused. The officer did not insist and let her leave.

It was noontime, and most of the officers in the hall had left. Only one stayed to watch me. I took the opportunity to clarify the facts to him. He seemed kind, and I told him that, by teaching people to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and to become good people, Falun Gong brings numerous benefits and does not do any harm to society. He listened quietly to all I had to say. I think he already knew the truth. In the end, I asked for his name to help him quit the CCP. He gave it to me with a smile.

At 2:00 p.m., I heard him talking on the phone: “Her workplace didn't send anyone over—can I let her go by 3:00 p.m.?” As soon as he hung up the phone, he said to me, “You can go home now! Don't delay.” I stood up and told him, “One good thought of yours toward Falun Dafa has earned you happiness and safety!”

The police were respectful to us throughout the entire process; nobody said anything like “stop practicing” or “stop making trouble.”

These stories tell us that the CCP's persecution against Falun Gong has come close to its end. It is the natural result of practitioners' persistence in truth-clarification and righteous thoughts.
