(Minghui.org) Ms. Wei Hui, 37, an employee at a foreign corporation in Beijing, was arrested by officers from the Dongsheng Police Station on the evening of January 30, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.
The police and officers from the Neighborhood Committee ransacked her home and told her parents that she would be released soon. However, her family was told by police that she was taken to the Haidian Detention Center. This was a sign that she might be facing a trial.
That particular detention center is known to torture practitioners and some have died. Ms. Wei’s parents have asked for more information, but they have not been successful.
This is the second time Ms. Wei was illegally arrested. She, her mother and cousin were arrested by local police officers in June 2008, when they visited relatives in Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province. She was sentenced to an eighteen-month forced labor term and taken to the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp.
At that camp, she was tortured and released in late 2009. She refused to renounce Falun Gong.
