How I Became a Falun Dafa Practitioner and Restored My Health

(Minghui.org) I would like to share my story of how I went from being injured in a car accident to becoming a Falun Dafa practitioner, and how my health was restored.

I was thrown several feet when a taxi hit me in September 1994. The rear wheel of my bike was damaged.The driver wanted to take me to the hospital, but I said, “It's not easy for you to make money. Please just help me repair my bike. That's all.”The taxi driver paid 20 yuan to a repair shop to have my bike fixed and then left, but it turned out that it could not be repaired.

I slept for a long time when I got home but did not eat or drink anything.

Western Medicine, Psychics, and Qigong: Nothing Worked

My husband was worried about me and took me to a hospital where I was diagnosed with a mild concussion. I had an allergic reaction to the medicine that was prescribed, so I took anti-allergy medication, which caused yellow blisters to break out all over my face. I stopped taking the medicine.

I was afraid to open my eyes because everything was spinning. I could not even work or do household chores.

My relatives and friends gave me all kinds of suggestions. They dragged me to see a psychic doctor who said, “Her time is up. Her soul has already left and is in another dimension.”

After a while, a school friend taught me a qigong practice. I tried it for two days but stopped because I did not feel good about it. I then learned another practice. A person then asked us, “Doesn't it smell fragrant?”

Others agreed with her, but I told my husband, “It's smells like rotten fish and makes me feel sick. Let's get out of here.”

My Husband Starts Practicing Falun Dafa

My husband's colleagues told him, “There is a new qigong practice called Falun Dafa. It has a good reputation and many people have started practicing it. Your wife might want to give it a try.”

“It might not be easy to persuade her,” my husband said. “But since all of you say it is good, I will give it a try first.”

My husband really liked the practice and introduced Falun Dafa to me, but I would not have any part of it. I just slept all of the time.

My husband played an audio recording of Teacher Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, one day in the living room while I was sleeping. I felt as if someone was standing in front of me and talking to me. Teacher Li's voice was kind, dear, and rational. I was delighted.

I sat up and said, “Who is that who is talking? He has answered all the deep questions that are in my heart. Who is he?”

“It is the Master of Falun Dafa who is teaching the Fa,” my husband replied.

“Please play the audio recording by my bedside. I want to listen to it,” I said.

After I finished listening to the lecture, I said: “He has answered so many mysteries for me about the purpose of life and where we come from. It's so wonderful. I will start practicing Falun Dafa tomorrow.”

It was snowing hard the next morning, and the snow was too deep to ride a bike. I had a thought while walking to the exercise site: “The snow is so heavy today. Is Master testing my determination to begin the practice? Master, I will follow you. Even if knives start falling from the sky, I will make it to the practice site.”

My dizziness dissipated after I had this thought. I walked six miles in the freezing snow and wind, and arrived at 5:00 a.m., right on time.

Falun Dafa Cured Me

I could feel that Master gave me a Falun (law wheel) in my lower abdomen about a week later. I saw countless Falun rotating before my eyes even when they were shut.

The symptoms from the concussion, as well as other chronic diseases, disappeared. I was full of energy, did not become tired at work, and found household chores easy to do.

I went straight to the practice site from work to study the Fa. We watched videos of Teacher Li's lectures on the weekends. We organized large group exercises in the parks, and we held Falun Dafa exhibitions. We were busy but not tired, and our lives were filled with meaning and purpose.

I thought I was the luckiest person in the world. From the bottom of my heart I wanted to cry out, “Teacher Li has given me a new life. I will follow Master home.”
