(Minghui.org) Mr. Feng Xincheng's case has been rejected by the Yanta District Procuratorate four times, due to a lack of evidence. Then the 610 Office pressured the procuratorate to formally charge him and forward the case to the court. Police has not released Mr. Fen, despite the case being again rejected by the court.
According to established legal proceedings, officers do not have the authority to retry the accused, but must release him within a month after a third dismissal by the procuratorate.
Yan Meiming from the Yanta District Domestic Security Division demanded that professor Liu Xiangning, the husband of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yang Yanyun, provide information in an attempt to fabricate evidence against Mr. Feng.
Mr. Feng's mother, in her 70s, has visited the public security departments and requested her son's release.
Mr. Feng Xincheng has been detained for about 19 months since his arrest on July 17, 2014. He was previously detained multiple times and taken to a forced labor camp for one year.
