(Minghui.org) My name is Bai Daiyu. I am a retired secondary school teacher from Lungfeng Township, Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province.
I have learned that Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhao Yunqiang and three others were arrested in September for putting up Falun Gong posters, and taken to the Duoying Detention Center in Yaan City.
I’m writing to the Yaan City Police Department today to relate the amazing story behind how Mr. Zhao Yunqiang managed to live to today, with a healthy body, in hopes that the Yaan City Police Department will immediately and unconditionally release him.
I was a physics teacher in 1996, at a vocational high school in Lungfeng Township, Pengzhou City.
One day in November, teacher Mr. Qiu called me over and said to me, “There’s a student, Zhao Yunqiang, who is suffering from hemophilia. I know you love to do charitable work, so why don’t you go to the television station to appeal and raise money for his medical treatment?”
I immediately agreed, but I wanted to know, “What is hemophilia?” Qiu replied, “It’s a rare bleeding disorder in which the blood doesn't clot normally.”
“Who can cure this?” I wanted to know.
He continued, “His family is poor and can’t afford the cost of treatment, so hospitals have all used various excuses to refuse to admit him.”
I thought of the magical power of Falun Gong, “Well, why don’t you recommend that he learn to practice Falun Gong? I’ll take care of him.”
The next day, Zhao's father and aunt paid me a visit to tell me, “Zhao Yunqiang is paralyzed in bed. His entire body is stiff. He can’t even manage to put on his own socks. There’s no way he can come to you.”
The third day, I was on the second floor doing laboratory work. Zhao's father and several men carried Zhao over to me.
I called on another student Yuan Zhiguo to help prop Zhao Yunqiang up. So, with Zhao standing, leaning up against my desk for support, I taught him the Falun Gong exercises.
It was truly amazing. After he did the exercises for two days, he was able to walk with his crutches by himself to the exercise site in a movie theater that was located at a distance of about 600 meters from our school.
He practiced the exercises every day. He also studied Falun Gong’s main book Zhuan Falun.
On the afternoon of the seventh day, after he finished doing the exercises at the movie theater, he threw away his crutches and walked up the steps to the stage, one step at a time.
There were about 100 people in the theater that day. Some started clapping and exclaimed, “Zhao is walking! Zhao did Falun Gong and is well!”
All joined in, and the applause turned thunderous.
Zhao stood on the stage, looking at the cheering crowd. Tears of excitement and gratitude swelled up and rolled down his cheeks.
He has since no longer needed to walk with crutches. His body has fully recovered.
How amazing is Falun Gong? Falun Gong has given Zhao Yunqiang a new life!
I have also personally witnessed in the Lungfeng Township many other such miraculous incidents through the practice of Falun Gong.
I would like to cite a few examples:
Our town granary’s accountant, Cao Yinxiu, was a late-stage diabetic. Her face and body were very swollen. The Municipal Grain Bureau had twice prepared for her funeral. She fully recovered after practicing Falun Gong.
Yang Kaiqing, who sells clothes in the Lungfeng Township, dislocated her left shoulder, which led to muscle atrophy. Her left arm became shortened and remained hanging down. She could not lift the arm, and could barely move her fingers. She had visited more than a dozen hospitals, but found no cure or improvement. Finally, after practicing Falun Gong for a month, she was able to hold her arm high, and freely move her fingers. Everything returned to normal.
Gao Chongying, who lives in Bainishan, had cancer of the throat, which led to laryngeal dumbness. With no money to seek medical treatment, and seeing no way out of her pain and misery, she wanted to end her life, and had attempted hanging herself, drowning, and drinking pesticides. Fortunately, she was saved from the brink of death each time. After she starting practicing Falun Gong, she fully recovered.
Ye Xinghua of Northwest Village suffered from renal necrosis in 1994. She needed 320 thousand yuan for a new pair of kidneys, but the family didn’t have the money. Her eyes were swollen shut, her hair had completely fallen out, and her body had become extremely bloated. She couldn’t even get on her feet. She lay paralyzed in bed, waiting to die. Falun Gong practice saved her. She is now blessed with a healthy and smart young daughter.
Xie Zhangyun of Gaohuang Village had multiple surgeries to remove hemangiomas, but the tumors came back after each surgery. When she had to have her uterus taken out, she almost died on the operating table. The doctor then recommended amputation of her arm. She finally refused, saying, “No more cutting! If I die, I die!” Falun Gong restored her health and gave her a strong body.
Such miracles abound.
Falun Gong has now spread to over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Among Falun Gong practitioners are scholars, politicians, physicians, scientists, and other highly educated, intelligent people. India and other countries use Falun Gong as calisthenics in their primary and secondary schools.
No matter which country in the world you travel to, you can see people practicing Falun Gong, which is indicative of how Falun Gong is viewed in other societies as something beneficial to humankind.
The world welcomes and embraces the beauty and goodness of Falun Gong’s principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Zhao Yunqiang is now 30 years old. Falun Gong helped him understand the meaning of life, and he has guided his life using Falun Gong’s principles as standards to regulate his thought and behavior, and is a truly good person.
When Mr. Zhao posted Falun Gong posters, he was exercising the legitimate right as a citizen. His interest and intention were to save people who have been poisoned by the lies of the Communist Party, and wake up people's conscience. He was doing something for the good of others. He did not violate any law. Such a virtuous person should not be detained or persecuted.
I urge the Yaan City Police Department to immediately and unconditionally release Mr. Zhao.
I also want to take this opportunity to share with you the following information:
From the end of May to the end of October this year, nearly 200 thousand Falun Gong practitioners and their families in China and abroad have filed criminal charges against Jiang Zemin with the Chinese Supreme Procuratorate and the Supreme Court, urging China’s highest prosecutors to hold Jiang Zemin accountable for his crimes of persecution against Falun Gong, and to bring him to justice to the full extent of the law.
I hope the people in the prosecutorial, legal, and other law enforcement positions and capacities will take a good look to understand the current situation and trend so that at this juncture of historical changes, they will choose wisely between a bright and blessed future, and plunging into darkness and hopeless misery.
Today's tremendous wave of suing Jiang is an opportunity for mankind to look at their individual consciences and decide.
