Additional Persecution News from China – December 7, 2015 (20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 20 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Five Practitioners Arrested and One Jumped to Her Death from the Sixth Floor

Five practitioners were arrested at Mr. Yao Guofu's home by officers from the Meixi Police Station in Wolong District on December 5, 2015. They are Mr. Yao Guofu and his wife Ms. Liang Xin, Ms. Wang Xiuyun, in her 80s, Ms. Chen Yujing, and Ms. Li Chengshu.

Ms. Wang Xiao, in her 60s, was also at Mr. Yao's home at that time. She jumped from the sixth floor to her death to avoid being arrested.

Ms. Liang is detained in the Jianshe Police Station and Mr. Yao in the Meixi Police Station. The police ransacked Mr. Yao's home and confiscated many items.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Xiuye Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Yang Xiuye's home was ransacked by five officers, including Cui Xinjian, from the Lingshui Police Station on November 11, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. The police confiscated all Falun Gong books.

Ms. Yang was arrested by officers from that police station, including Xiao Zenghou, deputy director, on December 4. She was detained in the Jinjiajie Drug Addiction Treatment Center for five days.

3. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Qin Sunan Arrested and Ms. Liu Meishuang's Home Ransacked

Ms. Qin Sunan and her husband were arrested at home by a dozen officers from the Tianxin District Police Department, Domestic Security Division and Jinpenling Police Station on December 4 2015. The police ransacked their home and confiscated computers, printers, Falun Gong books, and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Qin and her husband were taken to the Jinpenling Police Station for interrogation. The next day, Ms. Qin was taken to Changsha City No. 4 Detention Center and her husband was released.

Two dozen officers from the Tianxin District Police Department and Xinkaipu Police Station broke into Ms. Liu Meishuang's home on December 4, 2015, when no one was at home. The police ransacked her home and confiscated computers, printers, Falun Gong books, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police intended to arrest Ms. Liu, but failed.

4. [Beijing] Mr. Zhao Fuhong Detained

Mr. Zhao Fuhong was arrested by officers from the Changyang Town Police Station on October 27, 2015. He was detained in the Fangshan District Detention Center and released on November 23, 2015.

5. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ma Shufen Detained

Ms. Ma Shufen was arrested on November 26, 2015, for distributing 2016 calendars which contained information about Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and confiscated three machines, a box of calendars, and 2,000 yuan. She was detained in the Mudanjiang Detention Center for 15 days.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Yunhua and three practitioners with the surname of Zhu, Li, and Huang were arrested by officers from the Dongfeng Police Station on November 30, 2015.

7. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Xueqin's Home Ransacked

Mr. Yang Xueqin's home was ransacked on November 16, 2015, but the police confiscated nothing.

8. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yu Zhenfeng Harassed for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Yu Zhenfeng was harassed at home by three officers, including Bai Yang, from the Qianjin Police Station in late November 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin.

Bai Yang and fellow officers harassed Mr. Yu again on December 4. They brought a laptop computer and wanted to make a report about Mr. Yu's suing Jiang Zemin. Mr. Yu refused to cooperate.

The next day, officers came to Mr. Yu's home the third time, but Mr. Yu was not at home.

9. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yanmei and Ms. Liu Tianxia Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Wang Yanmei and Ms. Liu Tianxia were arrested on November 18, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. They were detained for five days.

10. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Qi Lijun Detained

Ms. Qi Lijun was arrested at home by a dozen officers from the Jiayuguanlu Police Station on December 1, 2015. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a laptop computer and other personal items. She is detained in the Taoshuping Detention Center.

11. [Beijing] Mr. Liu Jiman Harassed for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Liu Jiman was harassed at home by officers, including Zhang Haibo, from the Henanzhai Police Station on December 1, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and threatened Mr. Liu and his family.

12. [Pengshan County, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners Harassed for Suing Jiang Zemin

Six practitioners were harassed at home or by phone by officers from the local Domestic Security Division, for suing Jiang Zemin. The police also forced them to sign documents. They are Ms. Peng Xueying, Mr. He Tianlin, Mr. Zhang Xiqun, Ms. Min Subin, Mr. Xie Zhengfu, and Ms. Zhou Xiaoli.

13. [Qinglong County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Persecuted for Suing Jiang Zemin

The Qinglong County Educational Committee ordered officials at the Mutoudeng General School on November 24, 2015, to investigate Ms. Zhang Shulan and Ms. Kuang Ruping about their suing Jiang Zemin.

Ms. Zhang Shulan, Ms. Kuang Ruping, and Mr. Kuang Chunyuan were ordered by educational commissioners, including Gao Zhibao and Xue Jianguo, to appear before the Educational Committee on December 4, and sign statements denouncing the practice of Falun Gong.

14. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zuo Chengxiang Detained

Ms. Zuo Chengxiang is still detained in the Jinzhou City Detention Center.

15. [Luan County, Hebei Province] One Practitioner Arrested and One Harassed

Mr. Ma Jingchuan was arrested at home by officers from the Wangdianzi Police Station on December 3, 2015. The police ransacked his home and confiscated his computer. He is detained in the Luan County Detention Center.

Practitioner Tian was harassed by the Xincheng Police Station on December 3, 2015.

16. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Four practitioners were arrested on December 2, 2015.

Ms. Chen Xiuping was arrested by police from the Hulin City No. 1 Police Station.Ms. Wang Yanling and Mr. Zou Jiping were arrested by the Hulin City No. 2 Police Station. Ms. Chang Guifeng was arrested by the Baodong Town Police Station.

The police ransacked the homes of Ms. Wang and Mr. Zou. The four practitioners were detained in the Hulin Detention Center for five days.

17. [Yongxing County, Hunan Province] Mr. Xu Yunyan Tried; Two Practitioners Arrested and One beaten

Mr. Xu Yunyan, arrested on July 10, 2015, was tried by the Yongxing County Court on December 1. Several practitioners were searched outside the courtroom by a dozen officers, including Li Songlin from the Yongxing County Domestic Security Division. The police arrested two practitioners and beat a practitioner with electric batons.

18. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Huludao Intermediate's Court Held Hearing Against Ms. Zheng Shuyun's Appeal

The Huludao Intermediate's Court held a hearing session against Ms. Zheng Shuyun's appeal on the morning of December 1, 2015. Ms. Zheng's two representatives read the appeal statement and submitted 24 pieces of evidence.

Ms. Zheng was sentenced to three years' imprisonment on December 12, 2014. She is being held at the Liaoning Women's Prison.

19. [Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Sentenced

Four local residents were sentenced on December 2 for practicing Falun Gong. Li Qun was given seven years, while Zhong Shuirong, Yang Guangming, and Tan Xiaoqiong were each given eight-year terms.

No family member was allowed inside the courtroom, which was filled with people from the judicial system.

20. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners Sentenced to Three Years' Imprisonment

Ms. Yang Shuhua and Ms. Chen Rongfang were tried on December 3 and each given three years for practicing and spreading information about Falun Gong. Both vowed to appeal the illegal sentencing.

The two women were arrested in mid-May this year for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.
