(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Yuehua was tried a third time on November 28, 2015 at Hexi District Court, Tianjin City. Her attorneys pleaded not guilty on her behalf.
The trial started at 9:00 a.m. Ms. Zhao developed high blood pressure by 11:30 a.m. The court recessed, was again in session at 12:30 a.m., and ended at 2:30 p.m.
The judge asked Ms. Zhao if she wanted to make a statement shortly after the hearing began.
“Having a faith is not a crime. Being a good person following Falun Gong's principles is not wrong,” she said.
Her attorneys refuted the prosecutor's accusation. They showed that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary Yang Jianhua and deputy secretary Zhang Jinping from Rulinyuan Neighborhood Committee, Hexi District, committed purgery. They asked the court to respect human rights and demanded that Ms. Zhao be released unconditionally.
Ms. Zhao was arrested on March 2, 2015 by officers from the Donghaijie Police Station, Hexi District, Tianjin City. She is detained in the Hexi District Detention Center.
The Hexi District Court tried Ms. Zhao on August 4 and September 11. The first trial ended because no jurors were present. During the second trial, the attorneys questioned the Procuratorate concerning purgery. The trial ended.
