(Minghui.org) A few months ago, I decided to get a spare key to my 94-year-old mother's house so it'd be easier for me to visit and take care of her. I didn't know that it was going to take the locksmith four tries to get the spare key to work.
In hindsight, I realized it was Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, that arranged the opportunities for me to help the locksmith understand why the Chinese communist regime is wrong in persecuting Falun Dafa. Only when the locksmith changed his attitude towards Falun Dafa did the spare key finally open my mother's door.
My Three Trips to the Locksmith
I was the only customer in the shop when I first visited the locksmith. I asked about the price and was going to talk to him about Falun Dafa and the persecution as he was cutting my key, when several other people came into the shop.
I talked to them about the persecution while I was waiting. Some of them understood what I said and complained about how bad the Chinese Communist Party is, but the shop owner just concentrated on cutting their keys and didn't respond to what we were talking about.
When I took the new key home, I couldn't even get it into the lock, so I had to go back to the shop. I tried to talk to him about Falun Dafa, but he disagreed with me. He took the key and went to fix it. When he returned he said, “If it still doesn't work, come back and I'll try again.”
The key still didn't work, so I went in a third time and spoke to the locksmith about Falun Dafa again. He said, “I don't oppose Falun Dafa, but I don't approve of it either. It has nothing to do with me.”
He made another key for me and said that if it didn't work this time, he would come to my mother's home to fix it. “I guarantee it will work perfectly this time. If it doesn't, I'll give you your money back,” he stressed.
However, the new one still didn't open the door. I called him and asked him to come over and take a look. He told me confidently, “I have never encountered a door that I couldn't open. You can be sure I'll make the spare key work this time.”
Locksmith's Trip to My Mother's House
He came to my mom's house and still couldn't open the door. He murmured, “That's really strange! I will refund your money.” He gave me 30 yuan and was about to leave.
Suddenly, a thought came to me: “Shout 'Falun Dafa is good' to save him.” So I told him miraculous stories about practitioners reciting “Falun Dafa is good” to overcome problems.
“Let's try it,” I said.
When he used the key to open the door, I shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" But he didn't shout with me, and the door didn't open.
“You have to shout with me to make the key work.” He looked around to make sure no one was in the hallway then said in a low voice, “Falun Dafa is good” as he put the key into the lock. It worked and the door opened!
But when he tried the key from the other side, he couldn't unlock it.
I suggested, “Let's shout 'Falun Dafa is good' more than once.” He and I shouted together a few times, and the key worked on both sides of the door. I gave him back the 30 yuan he had refunded me.
He called me an hour later and asked if the key was still all right. “It is perfectly fine!” I replied.
“Falun Dafa is good!” He repeated three times on the phone excitedly. “I will recite 'Falun Dafa is good' when I have problems in the future.”
Tears rolled down my face. Master took great pains to save him, and I truly felt Master's boundless compassion.
