Additional Persecution News from China – November 22, 2015 (Part II, 20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 38 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chongqing] Ms. Gong Rubi Detained

Ms. Gong Rubi was arrested at home by officers from the Yubei District Domestic Security Division, the Longshan Police Station, and the 610 Office on November 10, 2015. She was taken to the Yubei District Detention Center.

2. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Zhenying Detained

Ms. Li Zhenying was arrested by the police on November 5, 2015. She was detained in a lockup for 15 days. Subsequently she was taken to a detention center for continued custody.

3. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xiao Mingxia and Ms. Sun Yunxue Detained

Chen Xin and other officers from the Junan County Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Xiao Mingxia and Ms. Sun Yunxue on November 19, 2015. Both practitioners were taken to the Junan County Detention Center.

4. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Meihekou City Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 610 Office arrested Ms. Qu Hongjie, Ms. Liang Shumei, Ms. Li Yahui, Ms. Li Yan (of Hongmei Town), Ms. Tang Wenli, and Ms. Li Yan (of Hailong Town).

5. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Seven Practitioners arrested

Head of the Maonan District Domestic Security Division and officers from the Maoning City 610 Office arrested Ms. Chen Yuping, Mr. Luo Ji, Ms. Luo Xiaozhu, Ms. Xie Yilan, Mr. Wu Zhiqi, and Ms. Li Shuming on November 19, 2015.

On the same day, officers from the 610 Office also arrested Mr. Ke Zhengji, who is handicapped. They confiscated a computer, Falun Dafa books, and printed materials.

6. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Shuqing Arrested

Officers from the Wenzhong Town Police Station in the Hongshan District arrested Ms. Wang Shuqing, of Heigoumen Village in Wenzhong Town, on November 12, 2015.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Yifeng Arrested

Officers from the Dongli District Domestic Security Division and the Junliangcheng Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Yifeng on November 5, 2015.

8. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Liu Yuhua, Ms. Wei Baoxia, Ms. Zhao Guihua, and Ms. Li Shujuan of the Dongchang District were arrested by officers from the Jinchang Police Station when they were telling people about Falun Gong in Jinchang Town on November 19, 2015. The four practitioners are held in a brainwashing center.

Mr. Song Dianjie was arrested by officers from the Longquan Police Station on November 21, 2015. He was taken to the Xishan Brainwashing Center.

9. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Liping and Ms. Zhang Guilan Taken into Police Custody

Ms. Zhang Liping and Ms. Zhang Huilan were arrested by officers from the Taobei Police Station when they were distributing desk calendars with Falun Gong content on November 19, 2015. Both practitioners are held at the Prison Management Team of the Qitaihe City Police Department

10. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lai Yonghua and Ms. Lai Yongmei Detained

Ms. Lai Yonghua and Ms. Lai Yongmei are detained in the Rizhao Detention Center.

11. [Qianguo County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Shuyun and Ms. Tang Juan Arrested

Ms. Zhao Shuyun was arrested at home on the afternoon of November 17, 2015. Ms. Tang Juan was arrested at home on November 19, 2015.

12. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Shuying Detained

Ms. Wang Shuying of the Kuiwen District was arrested by officers from the Guangwen Police Station in the Kuiwen District on November 12, 2015. She was taken to a detention center. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books, printed materials and other items.

13. [LinYi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zeng Fanjin Arrested

Mr. Zeng Fanjin was arrested and taken to a police station on November 11, 2015.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Zhizhong and Wife Ms. Wang Jun Held in Drug Rehabilitation Center

Mr. Li Zhizhong was arrested by the police in the store which he owns on the morning of November 19, 2015. His wife Ms. Wang Jun was also arrested later. Their home was ransacked. The couple are held in the Jinnan Road Drug Rehabilitation Center in the Ganjingzi District.

15. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Wei Detained

Mr. Liu Wei of the Longfeng District was arrested at home by officers from the Longfeng Police Department at noon on November 20, 2015. He is held in a detention center.

16. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Xinhe Detained

Ms. Wang Xinhe of Ji County was arrested by officers from the Wenchang Street Police Station in Ji County on November 20, 2015. She was detained for five days.

Ms. An Minfen of Liucun Township in Neihuang County was arrested on November 19, 2015. She was detained.

18. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Shuiting Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Li Shuiting of She County was arrested on April 21, 2015. He was secretly tried in September and sentenced to three years in prison. He was taken to the Jidong Prison in Tangshan City on November 20.

19. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Shuqin Arrested

Ms. Sun Shuqin, of Dongfushan Village, Xuefang Town, Laiyang City, was arrested on the morning of November 20, 2015. Her Falun Dafa books were confiscated.

20. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wan Hongqin Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wan Hongqin, with the Dalian Institute of the Army, was arrested by officers from the Youyi Police Station in the Jinzhou District on November 9, 2015. The officers confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Dafa books, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Wan is held in the Dalian Brainwashing Center.

21. [Tianjin] Ms. Song Huichan Faces Trial

Ms. Song Huichan is scheduled to face trial on December 3, 2015, nine months after being arrested for practicing and spreading information about Falun Gong.

Tanggu Procuratorate twice returned her case to the local police, citing insufficient evidence. The police, however, managed to get the procuratorate to charge her in late October. Xinqu Court set her hearing for December 3.

Ms. Song's father tried many times to file a lawsuit against the officers involved in her arrest, but he was given the runaround by the police, the procuratorate and the court. At the time of this writing, he is still unable to get his complaint formally registered.

22. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] A Married Couple Denied Family Visitation Since Detained

A married couple's family has been denied visitation rights since their arrest on May 18 this year.

Prior to the latest arrest, Mr. Wang Shengliang and his wife Ms. Xiao Meijun were arrested multiple times in the past for refusing to give up their belief in Falun Gong. They were both sentenced around the same time in 2001, with Ms. Xiao given 7 years and Mr. Wang 5 years. Their then-16-year-old son was detained for two weeks along with his parents. When the teenager was released, he had to do odd jobs to support himself.

Mr. Wang's and Ms. Xiao's loved ones are anxious to know where they are and when they may be released.

23. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Ke Zhengji Detained

Mr. Ke Zhengji was home on November 19, 2015 when twelve police officers broke in and arrested him. They confiscated two computers, one printer, and some other personal belongings.

The 52-year-old from Maoming filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin less than three months ago, and his family believes his lawsuit led to this latest arrest. He is being held at Maoming No.1 Detention Center.

24. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province]Ms. Dai Fengzhen's Home Ransacked for Suing Jiang Zemin

Three officers ransacked Ms. Dai Fengzhen's home on November 11, 2015 and confiscated her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings. They also took pictures of and videotaped her during the entire process.

Ms. Dai protested the police raid as her practice of Falun Gong broke no law. One officer revealed that Ms. Dai's lawsuit against Jiang Zemin was the reason for their visit.

Six days later, Ms. Dai called the hotline of the Supreme People's Procuratorate to ask if it is legal to sue Jiang Zemin. The receptionist confirmed that, "It is your constitutional right to file a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin."

25. [Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province]Four Practitioners Detained

Four local residents remain detained following their recent arrests for practicing Falun Gong.

Ms. Hou Xiufen and Ms. Shao Yinghui both went on a hunger strike and were brutally force fed.

Ms. Hou developed symptoms of high blood pressure, but the guards at Zaohua Detention Center refused to provide her with any medical attention.

Ms. Guo Xiuzhi suffered from blurry vision and hearing loss, but she was also denied medical care. Ms. Shi Lihua is being detained at the same facility as the other three women, but her current condition is not clear.
