Persisting in Day-to-Day Dafa Work
(Minghui.org) The Epoch Times newspaper is a media outlet set up to assist Master in Fa-rectification to save sentient beings.
“The Epoch Times really has had a major impact in Fa-rectification. You have all seen it.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the Epoch Times Meeting”)
I have a very simple understanding of working for the Epoch Times. No matter whether a practitioner's task is large or small, he or she should always do well to remember the importance of doing things from the standard of the Fa.
To better serve the Chinese community in our area and save more people, we decided to print the newspaper locally in August 2010.
Practitioners who had the means worked on sales, reporting, and editing. At over 60 years old, I took on the distribution work, as I could drive.
It took me about two hours every week to haul 550 copies of the paper to five distribution points. It sometimes took longer, as I needed to pack and mail a number of copies from time to time. Although the task was simple, I tried my best to remember that it was to help save people.
Sometimes the simple tasks were difficult to complete, but when it was raining, snowing, or freezing cold, I told myself that I should face the challenge like a genuine Falun Dafa practitioner. I did not place much emphasis on the difficulty of the situation, and remained persistent, carrying out my duties with righteous thoughts, so that the paper could be read by more people.
Our readers really appreciate what we do. One older lady once asked me for a copy of the previous week's paper. She told me that she kept the papers neatly stacked after she reads each one.
I am very happy to see many Chinese interested in reading the Epoch Times and choosing a brighter future for themselves. They even pass it on to their friends and colleagues.
