(Minghui.org) My siblings and I grew up in a poor family. As the first born, I took care of my family from the age of 12 when my mother died. For some unknown reason, I had nightmares since the age of 13. My family had to wake me up to stop me from screaming.
I opened a business in the 1980s, and finally did well after years of hard work. My business was not large, but my family was able to accumulate wealth gradually.
Missed Opportunity to Practice Falun Gong
My three siblings began to practice Falun Gong, and tried to introduce this cultivation practice to me.
Just as I was trying to understand Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist regime, initiated the persecution of it in 1999. Overnight, the entire country turned against Falun Gong. The news media published rumors about it, such as “killing and committing suicide...” This was terrible for my already timid mind.
The arrest and illegal detention of my sisters put me under a lot of pressure. Gradually, I was deceived by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) propaganda against Falun Gong, I blamed my younger sister for dragging our brother and youngest sister into the Falun Gong practice, which brought such a large tribulation to our family. Because of this, I missed the opportunity to practice Falun Gong.
Faced With Illnesses and Loss of Fellow Entrepreneurs
Running a private enterprise for so many years left its mark on me because it was very stressful and taxing to my health. By the age if 42, I was diagnosed with an inflammation of the heart muscle, my hemoglobin was less than normal, I had calcium deficiency and a disorder of the inner ear. Frequent dizziness affected my life.
Among the entrepreneurs I noticed that, even though they were rich, so many of them died at the peak of their careers. Shocked by losing two friends, I began to wonder about the meaning of life.
Coming Across Elements of Traditional Chinese Culture
To be a more astute business person, I studied information about managerial expertise for better business administration and employee stabilization. I attended various training courses about entrepreneur management since the 1990s, and was surprised to find that many of the training courses were rich in content on Chinese literature and Buddhist studies. Why would these elements of traditional Chinese culture have anything to do with entrepreneurial management?
It took some time, but I began to understand that, to manage employees more successfully and bring out their best, one must elevate the employees' ethical standards. Only when employees are of good morality and behavior can the quality of products be assured and credibility of the enterprise be established. Then, the economic performance will naturally excel.
On the other hand, if an employee's mind does not change, any administrative methods, be it monitoring, control or applying strict rules, can only work for a short time. Worse yet, it may provoke conflicts between employees and employers, and eventually make one lose more than gain.
Therefore, I bought many books and did a lot of reading. I introduced the books to the employees but little was changed, because these books did not touch the heart and couldn't change the mind.
Falun Gong Comes Into My Life
The founder of Falun Gong did not give up on me. After 10 years of having come across Falun Gong, I was fortunate to learn this cultivation practice.
When I was most confused in 2008, my younger sister once again introduced Falun Gong to me. To help me with my cultivation practice, she lived in my house for almost a year. With her help, I read all the main books of Falun Gong and learned the five sets of exercises.
I have come to realize that this is what I was looking for. Everything that had puzzled me and every question I had about life was answered in the Falun Gong books. I was profoundly touched. Even though the persecution against Falun Gong was still extremely cruel, this time I firmly chose my faith and began to practice Falun Gong.
My body became healthy and my nightmares disappeared and I became very optimistic.
Falun Gong Firmly Embedded in My Life
My life was governed by the Falun Gong principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion -Forbearance, and I let go of my short temper. I also used the principles I learned from Falun Gong to guide my management style, and constantly improved my morality and management skills.
In meetings and during training sessions I often shared my understanding of the Falun Gong principles “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” with employees and helped them establish a positive understanding of this cultivation practice.
Every Person Has the Right To Understand Truth
Sadly however, such a wonderful practice is still subject to the inhuman persecution launched by Jiang Zemin. No freedom of belief or practicing Falun Gong is allowed in China.
One of my outstanding employees has been illegally sentenced to prison for practicing Falun Gong. It was a big loss for me.
The persecution launched by Jiang against kindhearted people has caused profound disaster to our country, too numerous to be listed in one book.
Every person has the right to understand the truth. It took me 10 years to cultivate in Falun Gong after reading Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong.
It is the truth about Falun Gong that has driven away my fear and helped me leave the lies behind. It is Falun Gong's profound principles that solved the puzzles in my life and paved my path of return to my origin.
I wish all people with a predestined relationship can see things with their own eyes, discern right from wrong and truth from lies, see through the CCP's lies, and chose a bright future.
