Additional Persecution News from China – September 22, 2015 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Qingfang Persecuted to Death

Ms. Zhang Qingfang, in her 80s, was harassed by officers from Xiashan District Domestic Security Division and Zuoshanjiedao Police Station on September 14, 2015. The police ransacked her home and forced her to sign some documents. She was frightened and collapsed into a coma. She was sent to a hospital for emergency treatment and died on September 19, 2015.

2. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Caizhen, Ms. Zhang Sufang, and Ms. Ding Meirong were arrested by officers from Yingquan Police Department and Yingzhou Police Department on September 9, 14, and 17, 2015, respectively, for suing the former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin. They were detained for 15 days.

3. [Qichun County, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Baolian Left Home to Avoid Further Persecution

Ms. Zhang Baolian was arrested by local police officers on September 15, 2015. She was taken to Qizhou Town Police Station for interrogation. She was forced to have her fingerprints taken, sign documents, and have blood drawn. The police ransacked her home and confiscated computers, printers, Falun Gong books, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, cash, and other personal items. She escaped that evening and left her home to avoid further persecution.

4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Detained

Several practitioners, including Mr. Liu Jian, were arrested on September 17, 2015. They are detained at Caojiazhuang Detention Center in Laishan District.

5. [Zhangye City, Gansu Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Guan Zhenlin, Ms. Tao Yu'e, and Ms. Fang Ping were recently arrested by officers from Jiuquan Domestic Security Division. They are detained at Jiuquan Detention Center.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Lijun Detained

Ms. Wang Lijun, 51, was arrested at Hankou Railway Station by plainclothes officers on September 18, 2015. She is detained at Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center.

7. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Li Junlan Arrested

Ms. Li Junlan was arrested by officers from Zhenjiang on September 13, 2015.

8. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qu Shumin Detained

Ms. Qu Shumin, arrested on September 6, 2015, is detained at Yantai Detention Center.

9. [Jiexi County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Meihong Detained

Ms. Li Meihong was transferred to Sanshui Detention Center on September 18, 2015.

10. [Shanghai] Mr. Qiu Nanping and Ms. Wei Lijun Detained

Mr. Qiu Nanping and his wife, Ms. Wei Lijun, were arrested by officers from Kongjiang Police Station and 610 Office in Yangpu District on September 17, 2015. It was reported they would be detained for a month.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Hua Detained

Ms. Li Hua was arrested in Jingkailiu District on September 19, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at Weizigou Women’s Detention Center.

12. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Jia Huili Arrested

Ms. Jia Huili was arrested by officers from Yangzhuang Police Station on August 18, 2015 for using paper currency with information about the persecution of Falun Gong printed on them. The police confiscated computers from her home.

13. [Pingjiang County, Hunan Province] Mr. Yang Daowen Arrested

Mr. Yang Daowen’s home was ransacked by officers from Wukou Town Government and Police Station on August 15, 2015. They confiscated computers and other personal items. Mr. Yang was later arrested by officers from Wukou Town Police Station.
