(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world gathered in Los Angles last week to hold a rally and parade and do the exercises together in public places.

They wanted the people of L.A. to know that Falun Gong is still being persecuted in China and that practitioners are now filing lawsuits against the person responsible for the persecution, Jiang Zemin. Many people showed their support.

At the group exercise site in front of City Hall, Falun Gong spokesperson Mr. Zhang Erping said, “Jiang's regime is committing genocide and crimes against humanity. Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are universal values. When these values are threatened, our very culture and the moral codes we live by are in jeopardy. It's everyone's responsibility to stand on the side of justice.

"The recent flood of lawsuits against Jiang is bringing the CCP persecution of Falun Gong to worldwide attention and giving the Chinese people who have been cut off from that information an opportunity to learn the true situation. The lawsuits also serve as a warning to those who have participated in the persecution. It is a chance for them to realize they must stop aiding and abetting this intolerable suppression.”

Mr. Richard GighLiotti

Mr. Richard GighLiotti said the values of Falun Gong, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, were "perfect." He was appalled to learn about the persecution of the practice in China and agreed that Jiang absolutely should be made to stand trial.

Mr. Randy Campos

Mr. Randy Campos, a nutritionist, said he appreciated Falun Gong practitioners' activities. He thought they were positive and gave the younger generation a chance to learn about what was happening in the world, especially about the human rights violations in China. He said, “People like us all should try to make changes. If it weren't for you Falun Gong practitioners, people wouldn't know about this. You are a voice for the oppressed. It's so nice of you to tell people about the terrible persecution, which shouldn't be happening.

“People are tired of such persecution. I truly hope to see a change to resolve it. It's a change brought about not by guns and weapons but by wisdom. We can stop this killing. People need to hear Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.” Mr. Campos believed Falun Gong would bring peace to the world--"exactly what is needed."

Mr. Campos said Jiang Zemin should be thrown into prison for persecuting the innocent.

Ms. Eva Vega, a city government employee, said Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance was great and what everyone should follow. She thought what the practitioners were doing was great, because it would put information about the lawsuits in the public eye.

Jeff

Jeff, a legal professional, said it was great that Falun Gong practitioners were disseminating important information, because every corner of the world should know about this persecution: "It is an issue we all have to face."

He appreciated what practitioners were doing and hoped they would let more people know about the ongoing persecution. Jeff thought that Jiang should certainly be held accountable for what he has done and that the American government and the United Nations should join the effort to bring him to justice.

Ms. Wang, originally from Taiwan, almost came into tears when she heard about the persecution in China. She said it saddened her to learn that people were forced to give up their belief and that it had been going on for 16 years. She thought Falun Gong's large-scale activities would have a positive influence on American society and receive media attention. She believed filing lawsuits against Jiang would change the human rights situation in China.
