Additional Persecution News from China – September 27, 2015 (35 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 32 cities or counties in 16 provinces. According to this report, 37 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, at least 59 were illegally arrested; and 43 harassed, arrested, and/or detained for suing Jiang Zemin.

1. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners Harassed, Two for Suing Jiang Zemin

Officers from the Qijiang District Domestic Security Division and residential committee personnel broke into Ms. Ye Zuyu's home and ransacked it on September 21, 2015. They confiscated Falun Gong books and other materials.

Several officers took Ms. Ye, 74, to the domestic security division, bruising her body in the process. She appeared to suffer a heart attack. The officers took her home.

Officers from the Qijiang District Domestic Security Division and residential committee personnel arrested Ms. Li Shujun at home in mid-July 2015. Ms. Li, 76, was taken to the Wenlong Police Station for interrogation. The police wanted details about the lawsuit she filed against Jiang Zemin. Ms. Li was detained for a few hours before her release. After she returned home, she was monitored and harassed.

Ms. Wu Yingqiu, 56, who is blind, was arrested and taken to the police station. The officers ordered her to name the practitioner who helped her draft her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. She was also held in custody for several hours before her release.

2. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Qin Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qin was arrested on September 19, 2015.

3. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Xujing and Wife Harassed

Officers from the Xingfu Police Station in the Zhifu District broke into Mr. Zhang Xujing's home and arrested him on September 24, 2015. Mr. Zhang, 79, was forced to sign a document that slandered Falun Gong and then was taken home. The officers then ordered his 75-year-old wife to sign the document. She refused. The officers forced Mr. Zhang to sign on behalf of his wife before they left.

4. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xu Fuying Harassed

Several uniformed and plainclothes police officers broke into Ms. Xu Fuying's home and ransacked it on September 17, 2015. They confiscated a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, several copies of Falun Gong lectures, and the Minghui Weekly.

Wang Jun, secretary of the Binhelu Community in Tianpeng Town, and several officers broke into Ms. Liu Hua's home on September 17, 2015. They confiscated some photos. Ms. Liu and her husband were not at home at the time.

Officers from the Fanjiang Police Station harassed Ms. Yang Changxiu on September 15, 2015. They took photos of her.

5. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yang Yuanqiu and Ms. Wang Hongling Detained

Ms. Yang Yuanqiu and Ms. Wang Hongling were arrested by officers from the Yanggoujie Police Station in the Pukou District on July 1, 2015.

Ms. Yang is in the Pukou District Detention Center.

Ms. Wang was held in the 610 Office Brainwashing Center after spending one month in detention in the Nanjing City No. 1 Detention Center. She has returned home but is being monitored.

6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shilan Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Officers from the Laishan District Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Shilan in Qianjin Village on September 22, 2015, for filing a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. Ms. Zhang was held for 15 days. Her child and elderly mother were left unattended at home.

7. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Mr. Tang Huaiqing and Mr. Wu Yuanqing Taken into Custody

Mr. Tang Huaiqing and Mr. Wu Yuanqing from Longtan Town, Xupu County, were arrested by the director from the Longtan Police Station on September 24, 2015. Both practitioners were held in the Xupu County Police Department.

8. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Xiangyang was arrested and held by officers from the Lishui District Criminal Police Division on September 23, 2015. His home was ransacked. Mr. Zhang's wife was also detained when she went to the relevant departments to ask for information about her husband. Mr. Zhang was released on September 25.

Mr. Wang Huahong was held by police for five hours on September 23, 2015. The police forced him to give up suing Jiang Zemin before releasing him. His home was ransacked.

Officers from the Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Zhuang Rong and Ms. Chen Jiaying on September 25, 2015. Both practitioners' homes were ransacked.

Mr. Xiong Yuelin and Ms. Xiao Yuzhen are missing. Three or four plainclothes officers were watching each practitioner's home around the clock.

9. [Xinye County, Henan Province] Ms. Ren Xinping Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Ms. Ren Xinping was arrested by officers from the Xinye County Police Department and the Domestic Security Division on August 1, 2014. Her home was ransacked. She was sentenced to three years in prison and held in the Xinxiang Women's Prison.

10. [Susong County, Anhui Province] Ms. Chen Yadi and Ms. Xu Jinju Harassed

Hong Zhongqing, head of the Susong County Domestic Security Division, and other officers harassed Ms. Chen Yadi on August 29, 2015. They forced her to sign a paper not to sue Jiang Zemin again.

Officers from the Susong County Domestic Security Division and the Fuyu Police Station showed up at Ms. Xu Jinju's home on August 30, 2015. There was no one at home at the time, so the officers called Ms. Xu's husband to harass him.

11. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Shunju Detained

Ms. Chen Shunju was reported to the police for telling people about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from the Xicheng Police Station. She is held in the Ximen Detention Center.

12. [Gulang County, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhang Wanping and Daughter Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Fourteen officers from the Gulang County Domestic Security Division and the Police Department broke into Ms. Zhang Wanping's home and arrested her and her daughter for mailing their lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. Both mother and daughter were forced to leave home. They have returned.

Officers from the Gulang County Domestic Security Division again broke into Ms. Zhang's home on September 24. Ms. Zhang was taken to the local police station. She was taken to the Heping Town Detention Center, Wuwei City, in the afternoon. She was released the following day for health reasons.

13. [Heshan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Jianrong and Wife Ms. Dong Zhixiang Detained

Mr. Li Jianrong and his wife Ms. Dong Zhixiang were arrested on September 21, 2015. The couple is held in the Heshan City Detention Center.

14. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Mingxia Detained

Ms. Wang Mingxia, Zhifu District, was arrested by officers from the Shihuiyao Police Station on September 25, 2015. She was held for five days in the Nanjiao Detention Center.

15. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Ma Zhiyuan Arrested

Officers from the Yingpan Police Station called Mr. Ma Zhiyuan and told him to come to the police station on September 23, 2015. He has not returned home.

16. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Zhang Chunhui, his wife Ms. Zhang Lizhen, and Ms. Liu Ping, all of whom are employees of the Geological Team in the Youse Building, North Xiang'an Street, the Songbei District, were arrested by local police on September 25, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. Their homes were ransacked. The three practitioners were detained for five days.

17. [Weiyuan County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Defang Arrested

Officers from the Weiyuan County Police Station arrested Ms. Wu Defang, in her 70s, at home on September 25, 2015. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated about 10,000 yuan, hundreds of DVDs, Falun Dafa books, two radios, Falun Gong informational materials, and a photo of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Wu was taken to the Weiyuan Police Station. She was later released.

18. [Quanzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Yuan Dongying Arrested

Ms. Yuan Dongying, an accountant with the Fujian No. 1 Highway Engineering Company, was arrested by officers from the State Security Division on September 23, 2015.

After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, Ms. Yuan's husband divorced her. In 2001, 2006, and 2009, she was illegally detained by the Quanzhou 610 Office and tortured. On her release, she was harassed by officers from the domestic security division.

19. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Feng Xiaoyuan Taken to a Brainwashing Center

A woman took Ms. Feng Xiaoyuan to the Ximalu Police Station for distributing Shen Yun DVDs on September 13, 2015. Officers confiscated her cellphones and keys. She was taken to the Wuhan City Detention Center and held for 13 days, then transferred to the Etouwan Brainwashing Center.

20. [Anxiang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Luo Lingzhi Taken to Prison

Ms. Luo Lingzhi, 73, from Baodi Community, Shenliu Town, was sentenced to three years in prison in August 2014. She was forced to leave town. She returned home this August and was arrested again by officers from the Anxiang County Police Department and the Domestic Security Division, including officer Li Hong. She was taken to the Changsha Women's Prison.

21. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Ding Xuemei Detained

Ms. Ding Xuemei was arrested by officers from the Pingqiao District Police Station on September 22, 2015.

22. [Ya'an City Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Shuzhen Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Zhang Shuzhen, 50, from the Yucheng District was arrested by two officers from the Yan Town Police Station on September 21, 2015. She was taken to the police station for questioning about suing Jiang Zemin. The officers ransacked her home and took photos.

23. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Sun Li Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

After Ms. Sun Li, 33, the Xinpu District, filed her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, she was arrested at work by officers from the Xinhai Police Station. They searched her desk and the computer she used at work. They also ransacked her home. She was held for 10 days and has returned home.

24. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] Ms. Huang Shurong Detained

Ms. Huang Shurong was followed and arrested by officers from the Baicheng Police Department, the Taobei District Police Department, and the Changqing Police Station on September 19, 2015. She is now in the Daqintala Detention Center.

25. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Aiyun Forced to Leave Home

Officers from the Jinling Town Police Station broke into Ms. Yu Aiyun's home and ransacked it on September 3, 2015. They confiscated a computer and a copy of the lawsuit she filed against Jiang Zemin. Ms. Yu was taken to the police station for interrogation. She was released that evening. Three police officers showed up at her home the next day to arrest her. They confiscated her cellphone and a charger. Ms. Yu refused to cooperate and managed to escape. Two kids were left at home. The youngest son is only four years old.

26. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Yanxia Harassed

Officers from the Changchun Road Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Yanxia's home and attempted to arrested her. She escaped. The officers confiscated all her Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

27. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Yu Zenggang from Linjiacun Town was arrested and taken to the Zhucheng City Detention Center by officers from the Linjiacun Police Station on September 16, 2015. She was held there for two days. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer and a printer, among other items.

Two other practitioners were arrested that same day. The wife was taken to Weifang City. The husband is being held in the Zhucheng Detention Center.

28. [Guangfeng County, Jiangxi Province] Eleven Practitioners Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Tu Jiang, head, and officers from the Guangfeng County Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Ye Chunxian, Ms. Luo Guixiang, Ms. Yu Dongnan, Ms. Zheng Xueying, Mr. Xia Hongshou, Ms. Yan Guoxian, Ms. Zhou Guihua, Ms. Xu Liping, Ms. Zhou Fenglian, Ms. Huang Meifang, and Ms. Zhu Dongying on September 7, 2015.

Ms. Luo Guixiang, Ms. Zhou Guihua, Ms. Zhou Fenglian, and Ms. Zhu Dongying are held in criminal detention. The other practitioners were released.

29. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Cheng Xiaobao, Ms. Sun Dongai, Ms. Xu Guilian, Ms. Wang Guizhi, and Ms. Sun Shuping were arrested by local police on September 17, 2015.

Ms. Sun Dongai, Ms. Xu Guilian, and Ms. Wang Guizhi were released. Mr. Cheng Xiaobao was placed under administrative detention.

The police confiscated about 2,000 yuan with facts about Falun Gong written on them from Ms. Wang Guizhi.

The police confiscated from Ms. Sun Shuping's Falun Gong books, DVDs, and about 20 copies of the Minghui Weekly. She was released.

30. [Qidong County, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Yangui Detained

Ms. Zhang Yangui was arrested in Liangshi Town by officers from the Liangshi Town Police Station for telling people about Falun Gong, distributing Falun Gong informational material, and helping people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations on September 20, 2015. She was taken to the Qidong County Detention Center.

31. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Shuping Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Li Shuping was arrested for suing Jiang Zemin by two officers from the Dasi Town Police Station in the Xiqing District on September 5, 2015. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, and DVDs. She was released at 7 p.m.

32. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Twelve Practitioners Harassed for Suing Jiang Zemin

Guo Huibin and seven officers from the Nangong Police Station, Nangao Township, Luancheng District, brought handcuffs, cameras, pistols, and files of lawsuits against Jiang Zemin with them when they broke into practitioners' homes and harassed them on September 13 and 14, 2015.

The harassed practitioners include:Ms. Yin Zhenyan, Ms. Zhang Chun'e and Ms. Chen Xuzi are from Nangao Village;Ms. Yang Lingzhen, Ms. Wei Lianzhen, Ms. Chen Qiugan and Mr. Liu Haixin from Wenjiazhuang Village; Ms. Wen Qiaohua and Ms. Tan Junju from Beigao Village;Ms. Lu Shu'e, Ms. Chou Meimei, and Mr. Jia Ruishu from Lujiazhuang Village.

33. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Five Practitioners Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Long Bingfeng, Mr. Li Runtian, Mr. Fu Gui, Mr. Sun Pinghua, and Mr. Zhu Musong were arrested and taken to the Xiuhuayuanshanzhuang Brainwashing Center in the Rongjiawan area on September 22, 2015.

34. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Over a Dozen of Practitioners Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Between September 21 and 24, 2015, officers from the Yuzhou Police Department, the Domestic Security Division, the 610 Office, and local police stations arrested over a dozen practitioners.

At least 11 practitioners in Shundian Town were arrested. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Ji Chou, her non-practitioner son Mr. Wang Xiaopei, and Ms. Wang Xuexia were taken to a detention center. Mr. Ma Junhong escaped. The police confiscated many Falun Gong books and materials.

The following practitioners were detained: Ms. Wu Zhenni from Fanpo Township; Ms. Wu Huizhen, Mr. Yang Meng, and Ms. Qu Yuemei from Huashi Township; and Mr. Yin Quanting from Wenshu Township

Mr. Geng Tiansheng, Mr. Ren Shuiping, Ms. Niu Huamei, Ms. Ma Chunling, Ms. Xing Xiaoqing, and Mr. Li Xiaoka were harassed. Their homes were ransacked. Mr. Li Xiaoka was detained.

35. [Qidong City, Jiangsu Province] Nine Practitioners Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Chen Xiufang, Ms. Wang Fangxian, Ms. Chen Hui, Ms. Rong Lijuan, Ms. Zhang Lanqun, Ms. Zhang Yongqun, Ms. Zhu Yuzhen, and two practitioners in their 70s were arrested for suing Jiang Zemin. The two elderly practitioners were taken to a brainwashing center; the other seven were put under administrative detention for 15 days.
