(Minghui.org) Police officers forced their way into 25 Falun Gong practitioners' homes in the early hours of August 11, 2015 and arrested them.

They ransacked the homes and confiscated computers, printers, Falun Gong books, materials, pictures of the founder of Falun Gong, and other items.

Ms Zhao Xianyu, Ms Zhou Min, Ms Sun Quanzhen and Ms Ye Jinhui were released the night of the arrest. The other practitioners were held in the Baiheshan Detention Center in Changde City.

Several practitioners including Ms Mei Gui, Ms Chen Huanzhen, Ms Su Xifeng, Mr Yi Changming, Ms Zhang Meiying, Ms Xiong Yuzhen and Mr Hong Ping were released on August 26.

About a dozen practitioners, including Mr Wang Xiaoqun, Ms Yin Hong, Mr Chen Kaili, Ms Shi Yuhua, Mr Liu Chaoyang, Ms Xu Fang, Mr Huang Zuoxian and Ms Zhang Lan are still being detained. Family members are not allowed to see the practitioners.

Responsible for the arrests and detentions are the Changde Political and Legal Affairs Committee, officers from several police stations in Wuling District and the Domestic Security Division.

Fallout from the Arrests and Detentions

Ms Zhao Xianyu had symptoms of high blood pressure when she was arrested. She was released the same night, but passed away on September 7.

Ms Yin Hong's mother fell seriously ill after her daughter's arrest and passed away on September 6. Ms Yi did not get to see her mother before she died.
