(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhao Qiuying (赵秋英), 63, was arrested at her home in Beijing around 10 p.m. on December 24, 2014. Officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and informational DVDs about Falun Gong.
The police did not notify her family of her whereabouts. Her family recently managed to find out that she was taken to the Zhanlanlu Police Station in Xicheng District, then transferred to Xicheng District Detention Center.
Police showed a search warrant during the arrest, but would not provide the reason for her arrest when the family phoned the police station.
Since 2000, Ms. Zhao has been taken to brainwashing centers three times for practicing Falun Gong. The longest time she was held was three months. She was later arrested in February 2009 and sent to a forced labor camp for two years. Ms. Zhao looked much older then when she was released in 2011.
Ms. Zhao's daughter and friend Ms. Jin in the U.S. are anxiously hoping she'll soon be released.
